The never ending battle between work and life has been the bane of my existence for as long as I can remember, but there are a few things I’ve learnt and applied which have helped me feel more organised and efficient! 💫 Setting my boundaries: As tempting as it is to respond to an email that pops up on your phone at 7:45pm while you’re out waiting for dinner at a restaurant… SWIPE AWAY. If you worked a 9-5 office job, would you be expected to answer that email outside of working hours? NO. I have an iPhone and found the “Focus” profiles super helpful - I’m able to filter out which apps notify me at specific times on specific days without putting my phone on DND. 💫 Allowing for flexibility: Giving myself the freedom to be flexible with my time, energy and goals has been a game changer! If things don’t go to plan, I try not to beat myself up - instead, I try to actively give myself some grace. The ability to adapt to different circumstances is a strength, and being flexible aids in this. 💫 Prioritising rest and days off: When we first started getting gaining more traction and jobs, I was working Monday - Thursday (admin) and Friday - Sunday (events/onsite). I didn’t even realise I was working SEVEN DAYS A WEEK. Now, I have a scheduled day-off [FYI TUESDAY] where I can do whatever I want! I make sure that my contacts are aware of my office days by noting it in my email signature, and if they urgently need me, I encourage them to send me a text for a same-day response. We have so much more to learn but these are all lessons I hope reach others who may be struggling as well! From a 24 year old gal trying her best to enjoy her life and run her business successfully with her sister 🤞
