Brett Stafford - guitarist

Brett has been playing in bands around Adelaide for 40 years and his association with Ray goes back about 35 of those. He is currently playing with Supernova, who are a great project band performing tributes to such icons as Stevie Wonder, Toto, Earth Wind and Fire to name a few. He has played with all the great players around Adelaide and we are delighted to have him in the band.

Chris Ackland - bassist

Next we have Chris Ackland on Bass
Chris moved to Adelaide from Mount Gambier in the early nineties and has been in demand as a professional Bassist since that time. He began his music career studying the double bass and later moved to the Bass guitar. From the age of fifteen Chris has been working as sideman, supporting many major artists, including prominent South Australian performers John Schuman, Mark Holden, John Swan, Catherine Lambert and Patrick McMahon. Chris has spent time as a member of 70’s show band Chunky Custard and most recently has been part of one of Adelaide premier corporate acts; Acoustic Juice for over ten yrs.

Peter Matzick - drummer

Born in Adelaide, Peter Matzick started his music studies on piano and then turned to percussion, completing a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education. He currently works as a percussion teacher for Instrumental Music in the public school system and also publishes Educational Resources for percussion.

Peter has worked as a professional musician for the past 35 years and at age 17 toured with Colleen Hewitt. He has played in the Hey, Hey, It's Saturday Band, Barry Humphries touring shows, international act The Fabulous Singlettes, Glen Shorrock (Little River Band), Brian Cadd (Axiom), James Blundell, John Schumann (Redgum) and Shane Howard (Goanna).

His versatility has seen him perform with jazz greats James Morrison and Don Burrows. He has appeared with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney, and rhythm and blues stars The Drifters.

As long-time drummer for Adelaide band Acoustic Juice, he has played for hundreds of corporate functions throughout Australia, including a private island in France.

Peter has also appeared with support acts for jazz legend Tony Bennett, country superstar Kenny Rogers, John Farnham, and guitar virtuoso Santana.

Peter is looking forward to being a part of these exciting upcoming shows and supporting Erin Jae’s Tribute to Adele.

Amelia Hender - backing vocalist

Amelia, 18, has been involved in performing arts from a young age, pursuing a love for singing and acting. She has worked with Pelican Productions, performing in Music Theatre Camp for 7 collective years. Amelia has already had experience in the Adelaide Fringe, performing for the USC showcase for the last three years as a solo performer. She has also participated in productions with companies such as Shane Davidson and Arena Spectacular in 2017. Amelia’s love for performing comes from her passion in music, having played the saxophone for 9 years and receiving vocal lesson since age 4. Amelia performed at Generations in Jazz with Wilderness Jazz Choir, after the group’s win the year before, and competed at GIJ for 5 consecutive years. She is so excited to perform alongside both Erin and Olivia in a fantastic tribute to one of history’s greatest artists.

ANNOUNCEMENT #1

Olivia Giameos - backing vocalist

Olivia is an 18 year old performer who has been involved in the performing industry since the age of 12. She was involved in the 2018 Class of Cabaret where she performed at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival at the completion of the program. Olivia has been involved in pelican production performances for the past 5 years and also played Belle in TB Arts production of Beauty and the Beast. Olivia’s backup singing experience involves completing a workshop with one of Adele’s back up singers during her 2017 Adelaide shows. She also attended Generation in Jazz this year as a singer and performed as a back up singer for Peter Coombe’s Something on Saturday performances. Olivia is incredibly excited to be working on this project and to perform this fringe season.
