I am changing and so is my business….

I will try and keep this post pretty simple 😊

Not to long ago a friend told me that her little brother who I photographed as a newborn in my final assessment at TAFE turned 16 years old! I was already feeling a pull within me for change and after considering what happens for a tiny newborn to the sweet age of 16, all thoes changes and life events that happen in that time. I concluded I really have been doing this gig for quite some time.

I still LOVE photography, but I am burnt out in areas of running a business and so I’ve decided to let you all in on some changes I am making.

Firstly, I am phasing out marketing for wedding. It’s a huge call but feels really good and the right thing for me to do at the moment. I have some bookings for the upcoming season that I am looking forward to, but from there, I am only going to photograph if a special request wedding pops up that feels right.

(On a personal side note, I am so enjoying having my weekends back and not feeling this pressure that comes with photographing weddings.)

For my portrait work I am still working out where and what I am doing with this, but my move is very much towards finding my flow to represent who I am, how I see and what I enjoy. It may be that I will only photograph on request or only do a few blocks of sessions a year… this is a work in progress in my mind.

If you are thinking of organising a portrait session with me, for now it will be on request 😘

I am making changes which are very less business minded and more inline with my next chapter and life balance.

So, things might start looking a little different as I redirect my flow and reconfigure who I am without a camera and who I am with a camera and where my creative interests are 😊

I am not saying goodbye, I am just changing 💞

Where do I even begin trying to share a favourite from Emma and Marcus's day... Keeping it simple with this elegant and classic shot! Oh how I could go back a hundred times over and capture this day! So many moments and wet eyes behind the camera! Loved feeling apart of the family and dancing away at the end of the night with everyone 🥰 Oh what a night... and day and couple and way to end the wedding season❣️

First sneaky look for the year of the beautiful, small and intimate wedding day for Kylie and Ben! I love being a part of all sorts of days, I love how weddings are a reflection and story of the couple and people. The small ones, like this one, you really get to see more of the magic, story, and connection. Like most November weddings last year, we had rain. There was a break and we managed to still get an outside ceremony, location photos and a really pretty sunset. 💕 Really special day to be apart of!

Happy New Year everyone 🥳

I am easing back into work this week and responding to emails, messages, catching up on admin and then back into the editing cave and photographing over the coming weeks.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas with loved ones and wonderful start to the New Year. Starting with positive vibes and good energy.

I am feeling refreshed after a little break and so looking forward to all the opportunities this year will bring.

As I wind up and get ready for a break over Christmas and into the New Year, I had a little look back at some of the highlights of 2022! Wow remembering those early 2022 weddings where covid restrictions were still a thing to now the end of 2022, weddings are basically normal, just a bit of crazy weather we had through November! The year was filled with lots of beautiful and heartfelt family portrait sessions between the love and occasionally teary eyes at weddings, it makes my heart full. I love shooting both. I love all the beautiful places I get to go from the river to the hills to the beach! From private properties to private functions, I get to be witness to a lot of special moments, stories and milestones. My work feels so meaningful and I learn so much from the people I meet, the chats I get to have and the heat melting moments I get to photograph. Being behind the camera I really live in those moments. I truly feel them, and I am sure it helps shape me into a better person! I don’t know how else to describe the love I have for it, but I am so in my flow doing it and that is a beautiful place to be.

Wishing you all a lovely Christmas and lots of happiness into the New Year.

Thank you to all the beautiful people who invited me into their 2022 to capture a wedding, a family session, a celebration of sorts, a moment to remember. I really love doing it and it makes me so happy that I can.

I honestly couldn’t decide a favourite from this family session! So here are two…. So many laughs, giggles and just pure joy. This is what I love, makes my heart full. Love just oozes out of these guys. The little man couldn’t quite get my name right, but I loved how much he loved trying to say my name all session and wondered where my car and keys are… such a cutie! 😍🥰❤️ I am so in my element during these sunset family sessions!

There is only 3 and a bit weeks left to book in a Christmas session with me. 🎅
Due to the crappy October weather, I had lots of shoots postponed to November! So, it is really tight but there is still time and space to book something in, but jump on board quickly to avoid missing out.
