Sanket Tiwari was, is and will always remain an integral part of Ek Umeed team. An artist who believed in preserving the old traditions of Indian classical music, whose only desire was to revive ghazal mehfils the way they used to be in the past.
He is someone who won many hearts in Sydney by his voice, humility and simplicity.

Sanket you were hugely missed at Ek Umeed Returns. We were at the same venue, same stage, same time ...only one key person missing- YOU.

Ek Umeed held its first concert in November 2020 with a view to reviving traditional ghazal mehfils in the heart of Sydney. This year Ek Umeed returned with an evening full of melodious ghazals paying tribute to Late Ustad Mehdi Hassan. was one of our many talented singers at the show.

They say musicians do music for the sheer love of it. Passion tops it all. When it comes to passion, Aman Pal is the epitome of perfection. His deep love for the art of Indian classical music and instruments have and will continue to shine through years to come.

Ek Umeed Events is one such initiative Aman Pal conceived during the testing times of COVID. Along with a few friends, the concept of producing quality events to showcase classical Indian music was born with the aim to revive old ghazals, Sufi songs and Qawwali and present them in the similar traditional way as the legends used to in their time.

The energy in the room was electric. The boys & girls of the Ek Umeed team worked tirelessly round the clock on the day setting up the stage, decor, lights & sound to present a mesmerising Ghazal evening for the audience.

Our youngest artist Ruhani Dhillon performed for the very first time at a Ghazal concert. We can’t stop counting our blessings for having this beautiful Rooh (Soul) join our Ek Umeed team. A well deserved mention to her Ustaad Pal for coaching her for the occasion.

When the youngest artist in the team performs at a Ghazal concert for the first time, the Guru only has blessings for the student. A small clip just before 17 year old Ruhani Dhillon took control of the stage & won the hearts of the audience. Full video will be released very soon. Stay tuned.
