Todays throwback is with The Lost & Wild from 2022, along with our friends at InterContinental Hayman Island Resort

Rain or shine, this venue doesn't ever disappoint, attention to detail is always on point with the wedding team and we are so lucky to work consistently with them, as well as all of the other amazing vendors from the Whitsundays throughout the year!

Soph is off on a break until 8th January, but Kiki is still here for all of your Christmas Orders!

She has a flower delivery arriving on Tuesday 19th December, so if you would like to pre order anything for Christmas, please send a DM!

She will also be offering wholesale products if you would like to create your own special Christmas decorations and designs. Lilies, Christmas Bush, Pine, Spruce & Holly will be available by preorder - send us a message for the price list!

With great sadness, I wish to advise you of the passing of one of the most incredibly kind, generous, caring & fabulous people to ever touch our lives - Janelle Casey

She was my mentor, teacher, secret keeper, she laughed at all of my jokes and was truly one of my best friends.

She passed away peacefully and comfortable on Tuesday 1st August after a fond farewell from some of her dearest friends and family.

Phil wishes to thank all of you for your thoughts and kind words, they do not go unnoticed.

A memorial will be held at a later date, until then... don't forget your lippy & champagne, and for god's sake stand up straight 😆

FLOWER MEANINGS - White Chrysanthemum

This could be our first flower that isn't all about happiness and joy throughout the world!

Chrysanthemums symbolise grief and mourning in Austria, Belgium, France, Italy and Japan.
However in other parts of the world, including Australia, Chrysanthemums symbolise innocence, purity, honesty, and loyalty.

Careful who you give these ones to!

My human isn't performing as instructed. My top complaint is the lack of treats available, I have to actually ASK for a treat, ASK 😑 Doesn't this human know who I am.
This asking business is so far beneath me I can barely bring myself to do it, but the treats are delicious.

Flower meanings - Oriental Lily

This one is a bit obvious... The Oriental Lily symbolises purity, rebirth and is a universal symbol of beauty.

Lilies were some of the most popular wedding bouquet flowers (in the Whitsundays) until a few years ago and yes you can become numb to their scent! 😅

Yesterday, an old Flower Hut friend crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈

Farewell to Moët/Moppet/Mopsy/Boppet… you were a tough nut to crack but it was worth the effort, lots of complimentary cuddles were given and it worked in my favour. A stickler for routine and a sucker for twiggy sticks!

All of our love to Janelle Casey & Phil, she was so lucky to have you, and hopefully now she can be up there with her first Mum having a Moppet 🥂 💜

We're fans of a well decorated cake (cake in general, really 😂) but a matching cake and bouquet is the best.

If you are using your bouquet in the cake cutting shots (holding or putting on the table) matching cake flowers will make sure the theme continues. Seems obvious but sometimes it gets overlooked and it's too late to fix when the cake is being cut!

Flower meanings - Phalaenopsis Orchid

One of our long time favs, the Phaly is a symbol of beauty and prosperity in most of the world. In China they are viewed as a symbol of good luck and fortune and are tied to good fertility.

Each colour has some further meaning and symbolism:
✨ White: innocence, peace and purity
✨ Pink: joy and happiness, femininity
✨ Red: passion, desire and strength
✨ Orange: boldness and courage
✨ Purple: royalty and respect

Phaly's make an excellent gift, they are quite hardy and cop a lot of neglect... trust us 😅😬
