Itโ€™s time to get excited and get your thinking caps on, but GET IN EARLY

Weโ€™re planning GourMay Mary Valley โ€˜2025โ€™ and asking for EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST.

Create a "satellite" event to add to our GourMay Mary Valley Food Festival calendar.

The success of GourMay Mary Valley Food Festival 2024 was the mix of events on offer and we're hoping to create a similarly interesting calendar.

We want a calendar that has something for everyone โ€“ art, culture, music, education, humour, kids โ€“ and of course food.
It could be a - picnic, workshop, walk, talk, lunch, dinner, farm tour, treasure hunt, breakfast, paint and sip.

The event must
* Take place in the Mary Valley
* Take place between May 1 and May 31, 2025
* Have a food element
* Emphasise local produce โ€“ eg. signature dish

but don't take too long - we STRONGLY advise to GET IN EARLY
Festival Day will be Saturday May 10th

Gala Event - Saturday May 31
To apply - https://www.gourmaymaryvalley.com.au/application-forms.html

SUCCESS ON A PLATE: Celebrity chef and television personality Matt Golinksi worked his magic with local ingredients, including donated Maleny Dairies products, to help launch Maleny State High School's inaugural Paddock to Plate event last Friday.

Attracting 95 guests, Golinksi prepared a gourmet three-course meal with the assistance of Agriculture, Hospitality and Events students.

Agriculture Coordinator and teacher, Vanessa Duffy, was pleased with the evening's success.

"Guests were treated to Agricultural produce grown at the Maleny High farm in a three-course alternate drop, which included beef, goat and lamb plus an array of seasonal horticulture produce and school farm eggs," she said.

Local producers of the area got behind the event, donating an assortment of ingredients. Maleny Dairies' contribution consisted of milk, cream and yoghurt.

"The feedback from guests has been overwhelmingly positive, commenting on the precision to detail, location and decoration of the event and of course, the food, with many hoping this will become an annual event for the school," Vanessa said.
