Why Gathered by Shanda, and who are ‘my people’? My cup is filled when I work with couples who see the art of love the same way that I do. ⁣

Gathered is about redefining the way we see ‘romance’. It’s not just the stereotypical public displays of affection and grand gifts & gestures. Sure, they are lovely. But many of us aren’t made that way. It’s not the most common love language. ⁣

I truly believe that the deepest kinds of love cannot be explained in literature. They can only be seen, felt, experienced and remembered. Romance, to me, is in the morning coffee you didn’t need to ask for, the jacket you forgot to bring, and the sentence that gets finished when you can’t string it together. It’s in the little things, that are everything. ⁣

I’m great with words, and I can create a bespoke script that knocks your socks off. But alone, they are simply words. If your guests can’t FEEL the love, if I can’t make the whole room ugly cry, belly laugh and smile pure sunshine, then it’s just another story told by just another Celebrant. ⁣

What a force to be reckoned with ❤️‍🔥 this duo is an absolute powerhouse.
⁣
Talented, creative, intelligent and practical, combined with humorous and jovial, Jorden & Henry are two of a kind. Together, they have achieved an immense amount already, and damn does their future look delicious. They wanted laid back and lots of laughs, and boy did we deliver. ⁣
⁣
They did not miss a step on their wedding day, with many small details and out of the box ideas that will have their guests raving for the years ahead. Their loved ones above sent their blessings through the rain, so we improvised and cut the ceremony short at the last minute, which goes to prove that you really just have to roll with it - and that they did. ⁣
⁣
A huge thank you to Mr & Mrs Beevor for the privilege of getting them hitched - the perfect nuptials to tie off my 2023/24 season. Now I’m off to get large 🤰

It’s time that I get this one off my chest and a new fresh year seems like the perfect opportunity. ⁣
⁣
I wasn’t honest with my season of 2023 couples. I always said we would third wheel hard at the altar. And sure, we became friends and we definitely were chummy up there, but I missed one small detail. So small you couldn’t have possibly seen it at the time. But now, the time has come where I just can’t hide it anymore. ⁣
⁣
There were infact four of us standing up there….🤰⁣
⁣
So without further a-due, I’ll be sitting out the rest of the current season (other than J&H) as baby #3 deserves a rested Mumma. My books are also almost closed for the 2024/25 season. ⁣

I promise that my biz page won’t become a pregnancy blog and I promise that despite public perception growing a human does not alter your brain cells - it feeds creativity. Each little human makes this gig bigger, better, bolder. Quite a good business strategy if you ask me. See you on the other side 🫶🏻

Sometimes after I marry a couple I can’t wait to share their ceremony and I have to cap myself from writing a novel about their love. Other times, I marry a couple and I struggle to find the words to give them enough justice: because sometimes, the feeling was much louder than the words. ⁣

Shannen & Tom share the kind of love that is soft, affectionate, nurturing and completely and utterly dedicated. They look at each other like they are magic, and it feels like watching a movie. Their little guy Arthur will grow to understand the art of love by having the perfect role models right in front of him ♥️⁣

A stunning backyard wedding that made me nostalgic about English gardens, lush with home grown blooms and pops of blue and yellow. A dress to envy, flower girls that nailed the brief and a sea of supportive guests who delivered many tears and much laughter. ⁣

This time last week I hitched The Gregory’s and I’m just going to cut straight to the chase and say I looked forward to their nuptials all year. Because, from the moment we met, we became instant friends and my heart has been excited for them for 365 days. ⁣
⁣
Kellie & Scott are like the best friend heart necklace broken into two that you had in your teens, but it’s a friendship that comes with a built in soul mate, parent, party goer and lover, all in one. They fit together like that perfect little heart and their love story is one that makes you feel like their heart necklaces were destined to match from birth. ⁣
⁣
They laugh a lot, they banter always, they don’t sweat the small stuff but they take the big stuff seriously. They are loved by many, and they love hard back. It was my privilege to be a part of their epic celebrations, and the team that helped bring it to life. ⁣

Tayla & Levi share a connection so bound that it’s truly felt being within their presence, and the way they hold space for each other with every inch of their being. ⁣

I love a family affair, and their nuptials were packed with members from near and far, accompanied by cultural traditions and an immense sense of relief - that after 14 years, two babies and a reschedule due to the big C, they were finally here. As cliche as it is, all good things come to those who wait. ⁣

Nestled into the serenity of the Hills with a line up of relaxed vendors, beyond stunning florals and the blessing of beautiful weather, I’m now converted that Sunday weddings are the place to be. ⁣

I’ll probably never stop practicing pronouncing Levi’s full name correctly, and I definitely won’t forget his incredible Korowai. ⁣

Annie & Rhys did not miss at beat at collecting their buddies, babies and beautiful family members to watch them tie the knot on Rhy’s family property. A sea of pinks, reds, and whites, their ceremony was matched to their playful, laid back banter and i genuinely felt like I was just having a chat with some mates. Just how I like it. ⁣

A line up of local talent to help deliver the vibe and vows that were so perfectly matched to their 14 year journey that their guests knew exactly when to LOL and when to cry. ⁣

Despite attending weddings on the regular, it is never lost on me how much time and energy goes into planning a dream wedding space. Jordyn’s vision was bought to life by an incredible team, topped off with an energy that her and Stephen naturally bring through their personalities. Fun & playful, nurturing and gentle, yet classically detailed and elegant. ⁣

Wedding season officially kicks off this weekend! I’m fresh & revived after sitting out the winter season and escaping to the sunshine with two toddlers (lol, so relaxing). ⁣

They say the first dive back sets the tone for the year so I have no doubt in my mind that Jordyn & Stephen’s I DO’s tomorrow will result in an epic season. Expect to see me fluffing my love feathers right up to Christmas. ⁣

When Jess and I rocked up to our first meeting wearing the 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵 same outfit, shoes 𝘢𝘯𝘥 hair style, it was pretty bloody clear we were a match made in Rosè. We spent a few hours and wine glasses talking all things The Poggioli’s, and Simon won me over just as quickly, with his calm and caring nature. Put a fork in me, I was all in and couldn’t wait to make their ceremony one to bookmark. ⁣
⁣
Fast track to a glorious autumn day by the beach and I have to lay it all out and say this was the first ceremony I have ever completely fumbled in (we all do at some point, it’s just a matter of when right!). Jess is the most magical human being - a heart made of complete gold, an endless supply of kindness and an aura that just stopped me right in my tracks. Long story short, I had to ask Jess to stop looking at me because i couldn’t get my words out right in the middle of the legal Monitum 😝⁣
⁣
But I wouldn’t change a thing, because their ceremony was divinely them: laid back, fun, full of lol’s and of course, plenty of love heart eyes. This duo is going places, and I was so honoured to end the 2022/23 season with a couple like them 🔥 ⁣

Their wedding ceremony reminded me of the power of family. An unconditional support that is so immensely felt that it becomes effortless to create a space of love. I felt so at home with them, their families & the bridal party and I have added our friendship into the favourites category of couples I will not be letting go of 😜⁣

I have a confession to make: I have succumbed to peer pressure. I know I know, independent women shouldn’t be told what to do…but alas, after much insistence that the MC space had my name on it, I’ve given in (or I have been convinced 😉). Gathered by Shanda has now added an MC package and I am beyond excited to finally be able to join the party! ⁣

WHY pay for MC services instead of asking comical Uncle Dave? Because Uncle Dave might be funny, but does he have wedding industry experience, a thorough understanding of reception timelines, the confidence to public speak whilst keeping the crowd from eye rolling AND is he keen to stay sober? The end of peak wedding season is near and for the first time since starting Gathered, I’m taking the winter season off! All couples that need to hear from me before September will see me popping into their Inboxes today, otherwise I will be in touch once Spring has sprung again. My books are also limited for 2024. ⁣

Nestled on the rocks, in a half circle of flowers and pampas grass that Rachel set up herself, surrounded by crystals and THAT VIEW. ⁣

Kilometres off road, a level of intimacy that many people aren’t brave enough for. OOOF. Sure, parties are cool, but ceremonies are the real MVPs.

I’m not a traditional Celebrant and tend to steer away from traditional wording, however it is true that these two have shared the joys and the sorrows, cared for each other during sickness and in health, and supported and encouraged one another’s personal pursuits. ⁣

Bec & Jarrad reminded me of the special love that is high school sweethearts. The kinda love that often has no boundaries, no limits, no exceptions. Two people who grow up together & are so accepting of each other as individuals that they look at each other like they are made of magic 💫 ⁣

After over a decade together, a bucketful of adventures and achievements and running a successful business, Mia & Logan are familiar faces in our seaside town and being a part of their gig was so so special. An incredible way to welcome in the New Year, their ceremony was effortless, romantic, relaxed and FUN! Not to mention, a list of vendors to envy 🔥 ⁣

I was hook, line and sinker for these two from the word go. We met during face masks at coffee times, and I was heavily pregnant and ready to start my leave but I just HAD to squeeze them into 2022. Something in my waters (pun intended 😜) just told me they were my crew, and I wasn’t bloody wrong. ⁣
⁣
Usually I’m the one who is responsible for making my couples feel nurtured and safe to be emotional in my presence. Well, it’s safe to say that Mercedes & Steven turned the wheels on me and I was the one who was treated with so much respect & warmth. This is a duo that are so sincerely wonderful in more ways that I can put into words. They are the same person in two different bodies with the only difference being that one prefers Mary Street Bakery goods over cars 😜⁣

A successful marriage is one where your relationship is your happy place, and this rings so utterly true for Mercedes & Steven, so I have no doubt in my mind that their future as Mr & Mrs Stiller is one filled with more love and laughter than anyone could dream of 💎 ⁣
