We made it… After 7 days of mountains, cold, dust, deserts, rain, mud, a detour here and there and a TON OF FUN, we are proud to say that we made it. We have raised over $17,000 with more donations to come over the next 2 weeks for cancer council Australia, far surpassing our goal of $10,000. This has been a life changing experience for the both of us and if you ask either of us if we would do it again, the answer will be, “definitely!”.

We want to say thank you to box rallies for organising everything, Buddy Group 10 for being the best group on the rally and everyone who donated time, money, resources and wished us well. Without you, none of this would have been possible.

Craig, being with us for the whole journey, would have loved every single minute of it.

Great day today travelling from Coffs Harbour to Wollongong. Was definitely a eye opener for both of us the busy roads of the city! We found 2 teams along the way and ended up travelling in a convoy of 3 for about 100ks. Thanks “She’ll be apples” and “Lime in the coconut” for joining us on the drive!! Looking forward to a day of preparation tomorrow for the next 6 days of driving!!

Pinata Farms

Here is Barry and Courtney from Pinata Farms holding some of their finest who donated some of their juicy pineapples for us to sell at PIMS in Mareeba. We sold all of the delicious pineapples in just a few short days, raising over a whopping $300.

Losing a loved one is never easy, especially to a condition as painstaking as cancer. We, Ron and Travis Cummings, lost a brother and an Uncle to an aggressive bone cancer in late 2011. Those of you who knew Craig Cummings as a part of Pumping Irrigation and Machinery Services in Mareeba, knew that more than anything he loved fishing and the Aussie outback.

As part of a Cancer Council fundraiser, we will be participating in the 2022 Autumn Sh*tbox rally, driving from Wollongong to Mackay via Innamincka (north-west South Australia) in a car worth under $1,000 (and we aren’t taking the main roads either). That's over 3,500km of dirt, dust, soot and probably a flat tyre or two over 7 days. More than that however, its good times, great mates and a cold beer after a day of hard work, all of which Craig loved.
