started when Sam Manning found there weren’t many options when heading out with friends if you wanted to stay off the spirits (or wine).
You either had to have a sickly sugar drink, or flat-flavoured sparkling water.
This at best drew sideways glances from her friends, or at worst sly remarks about being a party pooper and questions about her pregnancy status.
No!
Using her background in botanicals and beverages, she set out to develop something with all the emotional connection, taste and vibe of her favourite gin & tonic, without the messy effects of alcohol. Monday Distillery was born and soon the questions flipped from ‘why are you drinking that?’ to ‘oh, can I have a sip

We had never heard of Yerba Mate until a by chance introduction to Olie from .soda

The OG non alcoholic craft brewers in Australia.

Started by husband and wife team Clinton & Lozen Shultz started out in their garage and has now just launched Australia's first non alcoholic brewery.

More than just a non alc beer producer Sobah is a social impact organisation through partnerships with first nations peoples and environmental organisations.

Born out of the Northern Rivers in New South Wales brings a beer that was lacking in the non alc landscape.

The Pacific Ale style of beer is distinctive Australian with tropical fruit and citrus, super refreshing for the summer months.

We have to count ourselves lucky that was one of the very first non alc beers that we encountered 3 odd years ago. More luck than good management but thats how the best discoveries are made we think.

What started with the now industry standard Quiet XPA, has grown with the Lager and Half Day Hazy following not long after.

Now with summer coming, they have a new surprise. We are sworn to secrecy about this new release but it will be at "Pub WIth NO Booze" a few days before its official release date.

We first came across at the Rd Hill Markets many moons ago.

Meeting Andy and Jason on that day was a revelation as our founder Anthony who was desperately struggling with his relationship with alcohol and looking for something full of flavour and non alcoholic to sate his thirst.

Fast forward to now and we are so happy to have ETCH returning again to "Pub WIth NO Booze".

Andy and Jason have poured all their passion, knowledge and love into ETCH since its inception. When speaking to them both about this project, it's why and the effect that it has had on them personally and also on their family is overwhelming.

This is a question that we get asked all the time and the truth is "Pub With NO Booze is constantly evolving.

"Pub WIth NO Booze" started out as a one off event for MFWF nothing more nothing less.

What we didn't envisage was the community that would grow up around it as we ran with further events/website/socials.

So what is "Pub With NO Booze" today?

Today it's a community that interacts with each other, it's events (that very soon hopefully will be breaking out of the 4 walls), it's an opportunity to connect with other likeminded people interested in non alcoholic drinks, it's an opportunity to explore non alcoholic drinks in safe and inclusive space while having a heap of fun as well.

The hospitality industry is very close to our heart here at "Pub With NO Booze", it's the industry that we grew up in, with all the wonderful but also gnarly bits that brought the idea of "Pub WIth NO Booze" to fruition.

Talking about mental health and alcohol/substance issues are still for a lot of us a bridge too far, which unfortunately means so many of our colleagues, friends and loved ones live a hidden life with this stigma.

The podcast hosted by and supported by is looking to open up these conversations and bring them into the light. By Shell and her guests including and speaking openly, honestly and with extreme vulnerability hopefully we can help those we care about, no longer struggle in silence.
