Floriade is a Sydney institution, providing quality florals and bespoke design to the Sydney community for over 20 years. We are looking for a casual florists to join our team.

We are a small team who love what we do - gorgeous fresh gifts and flower-filled weddings and events. We are looking for the right person to join our passionate team.

We have a focus on creating a great customer experience through exceptional service and beautiful flowers, whether that be through customers visiting, calling us, or ordering online through email, chat, social media or our website. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated florist to join us on a casual basis. Please see hours listed below for more information.

This role would suit a senior florist who is confident in making sales and communicating with customers electronically and in person.

Who are we looking for

Someone who has at least 3 years of experience within the florist industry, ideally with a floristry qualification (Cert III preferred);
A person with excellent spoken and written communication skills ;
A person who is highly motivated and hard-working but doesn't take themselves too seriously (we like to have fun while we work);
Someone who is passionate about flowers and floristry as well as putting a 'wow' factor into the customer experience;
A team player who thrives on the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines (quick and detailed);
A person with a high level of attention to detail that takes pride in their work and motivates the team to do the same;
Someone who is self-managed but equally able to work both as part of a team or by themselves.

Main duties will be dependant on experience and will include all aspects of retail floristry including:

Taking and completing orders as they come in from the website, chat, phone and social media
Building relationships with our customers
Encouraging and engaging the team to high-quality standards
Creating new arrangements for display on the website and social media
Maintaining cleanliness and safety of work areas
Supporting the team at large to achieve Floriade’s daily and weekly goals and KPIs
Other duties as directed

Hours:
20 hours per week split over 2 days - including Saturdays. More hours will be available for the right candidate.

Location:
This job will be based in Mosman, however you may occaisionally be asked to work in our Rose Bay store and sometimes wedding/event locations

Pay:
Pay rates are above award rate and are commensurate with experience.

We are looking for a casual part time high school student to join our team as a junior florist at Floriade. Customer service skills and reliability are important. You don't need experience, just a positive attitude & a willingness to learn.

We are offering 3 to 4 shifts per week.

Responsibilities include cleaning vases, caring for flowers and plants and helping the team as required.

You will need to be flexible with regards to working from Mosman, Rose Bay and sometimes wedding/event locations

Pay:
Pay rates are above award rate and are commensurate with experience.
