So what is the monitum & why do I say it at all ceremonies?
The “monitum” is a mandatory legal statement made by a celebrant during a wedding ceremony in Australia. It serves to ensure that the couple understands the legal nature of their marriage. The monitum is required by the Marriage Act 1961 and must be spoken before the couple makes their vows.

What’s my number one advice if you really want to elevate all the feels in your ceremony?…………LIVE MUSIC 🙌
Live music isn’t just about tunes, it’s about crafting a moment, a vibe, an unforgettable atmosphere that sticks with you long after the last note fades.
Having live music at your ceremony elevates the emotions & instantly puts everyone in your love bubble.
A live musician will read the room & perfect the queues and transitions for a seamless flow on the day like no other.
Thinking of getting live tunes for your ceremony? It’s a big YES from me 🙌 💃.

January-where the hell did you go?
A month full of quality time with the fam, slow mornings and a sh*t tonne of admin work.
A month which saw our first ever ‘Boat Elope’ wedding which far exceeded our expectations.
A month of river, lake & ocean swims & probably way too many bevvies.
I headed to Lake Charleygrark for my first big wedding for the year and had a week by the beach.
Rounded off the month with a live TV appearance and today my baby start high school.
The life of a celebrant from the outside can often look glamorous, but with lots of work in the evenings and weekends I sacrifice so much family time during the year. January gave me time to stop and spend some much needed family time for rest & play ready for a massive year ahead.
Bring on Feb, it’s a big one, but it’s going to be a good one ✌️.

🫶 2023 recap 🫶
2023 started with a bang with a wedding straight up to get me pumped for the year ahead. I took some time out with the family & headed to the beach for some relaxing & fun.
Feb saw some fun in the celebrant world, as I did my first wedding as an Elvis impersonator. It was also the month where I got to officiate the first ever elopement at Wirreanda Farm.
March was jam packed with weddings all across the state & I am super grateful for friends & family who came on some roadtrips or gave me a bed for the night.
April saw new branding come to life & my website finally went live which was a major business bucket list tick off.
In May I focused on the behind the scenes admin of the biz & enjoyed being in netball mum mode and being more present with the family.
In June I headed to Melb for the Funeral Fix Course where I invested in going deeper into what it takes to become a modern day funeral celebrant & it was super inspiring & beneficial for business plans moving forward. I also was super grateful to have done a roadtrip to Warrnambool to be part of a styled shoot with some incredibly talented wedding vendors down that way.
July was a place of solitude, gratitude & reflection as I headed to Bali solo for the TCS celebrant retreat. I connected with some of the most beautiful celebrants who I’m now grateful to call mates.
August saw me go on a little adventure with Kate from Wirreanda Farm to checkout beautiful Miss Mabel, the iconic chapel which now resides on her property.
September was a massive month of play as I celebrated the big 4️⃣0️⃣ 🥂. I had the most beautiful celebration at home with perfect weather, lots of champagne, bad dancing & fun times.
October started with a trip to Noosa with Rob and some great mates for a week of R & R along with some fun and rowdy times. A definite highlight was catching my first ever fish 🎣. Once I returned it was all systems go on a hectic spring wedding season marrying some pret

Hello legends,
Yes it’s 1am on a Monday morning, and yes I can’t sleep, so bit of a different post from me right now. I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling very on edge with all the hacks currently happening on the gram atm.
Technology & in particular social media scares me so much but it’s also pretty well where 💯 of my work has come from since launching this biz a year ago.
It’s allowed me to connect with my amazing community, to show my face so people can get the feel if I might be someone they’d like to work with & it’s enabled me to turn a dream into reality.
I am actually terrified at this point in time if this beautiful community was to disappear into thin air as I have very limited exposure on the World Wide Web🖥 .
My heart breaks for those celefriends who have lost their pages which they have worked so hard for & now have to rebuild from scratch.
Yes I am taking steps to hopefully prevent this from happening & hopefully I’ll come out unscathed.
Thanks for listening to my TED talk. 💗
I’ll leave a link up above if anyone would like to leave me a Google review & I’m going to make a conscious effort to leave reviews for others as it’s not something I’ve realised is so important until a light bulb has blown up in my head tonight 💡
