Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Sydney's Northern Beaches, the beautiful Know the Rose flower studio will provide an enchanting backdrop for you to experience the mindful art of hand-building with clay.
Date: Thursday, 7 March, 2024
Time: 6.30pm - 8.30pm
Location: Know the Rose flower studio, Mona Vale
Nicole from Milburn Handmade will provide you with an introductory overview of hand-building techniques as well as demonstration and guidance so that you can create your own, unique, hand-made ceramic vase.
Floral designer and stylist, Rosie Browning, Know the Rose, will assist you to create your own everlasting posy - celebrating the beauty of nature with naturally dried and wildly unique flowers - (the perfect size to display in your own hand-made ceramic vase).
Following the workshop, your vase will be dried, double fired and glazed and made available for collection from the studio within 4 weeks.

Thanks to your support, we’ve achieved some incredible milestones this year. Let’s look back at some special moments from 2023:
• We were proudly awarded Bronze for ‘Best Handmade Business’ at the 2023 Roar Success Awards.
• Our flowers graced the pages of Country Style Magazine… twice!
• The flower-wagon journeyed beyond borders to mark its presence at our first interstate market in Melbourne.
• We opened the doors to our enchanting flower cave and hosted our very first open studio.
• Welcoming a fresh petal to our team, we embraced the talents of a new studio assistant.
• We welcomed our local community back into the studio for our cherished annual family portraits.
• For the second consecutive year, we designed an enchanting installation for Natalie Marie Jewellery.
Above all, our partnership with i=Change allowed us to make a meaningful impact, raising over $1,000 for Seabin, Greening Australia, and WWF. Together, we’ve removed over 400kg of plastic and debris from the sea, planted enough trees to absorb 5 tonnes of carbon dioxide, and played a role in reintroducing lost species within Australia.

Christmas has arrived at the Avalon showroom. What a joy it was to create another bespoke window installation for this beautiful space 💫
Meet Ochre Ceramics, a jewellery, pottery and workshop label based in the coastal paradise of Byron Bay, brought to life by designer, Lauren Siemonsma.
Ochre Ceramics emerged from Lauren's inspiring journey abroad, where she found herself infused with creative energy and a desire to explore her artistic side. Starting her journey by crafting bespoke jewellery with handcrafted ceramic beads, Lauren soon unearthed her passion for ceramics, leading her into the realm of pottery. Her creations showcase a harmonious blend of earthy glazes and sculptural forms.

For us, Christmas extends far beyond the 25th of December. It's woven into the tapestry of moments leading up to the big day, creating a treasure trove of special memories. Those cosy nights spent indulging in classic movies, the joy of baking Christmas treats, the thrill of checking off your list while showering your loved ones with gifts, and the heartwarming reunions with family and friends as another year draws to a close.
For the past three years, we've opened the doors of our dried flower studio to our local community, offering the unique experience of Christmas family portraits by ~ These aren't your run-of-the-mill portraits; they're an immersive journey into the holiday spirit. As soon as our community enters the studio, they're greeted by the sounds of French carols, the scent of burning incense, and delicious treats, all enveloped by the enchanting presence of our dried blooms.
While we appreciate capturing smiles for the camera, what truly makes these portraits extraordinary are the moments in between. The laughter of siblings bonding, impromptu dances beneath the blooms, the magical glow of fairy lights, and of course, Elle's favourite – the playful joy of tickle torture.
It's these seemingly small yet infinitely precious moments that we hope our community holds dear; we feel immensely grateful to be a part of them 🤎
