As someone who is also planning his own wedding at the moment I am doing all the research into the different wedding trends and love looking into it all so I am always happy to dive in and do some investigating for my couples ❤️ however remember, this is your day and you should do it your way! You don't have to do something just because it is trending, after all, as I mentioned above, these trends change all the time so do what makes you happy! 💍🎊🎉💖

Now are you trying for the perfect instagramable wedding that you saw a celebrity have on social media? Finding out that its unachievable without the celebrity bank account backing you up?
Dont panic, you don't have to spend millions to make a beautiful wedding! It breaks my heart to see people trade in their big day for the registry because they cant afford their big dream. There are many ways to scale it back, talking to your local council can reveal beautiful locations at public gardens and parks, can't afford a DJ? Make yourself a playlist, cant afford a 3 course meal for all your guests? Food trucks are a great option! I should know, I'm having a food truck for my wedding! There are many ways to make your beautiful wedding that doesn't break your bank account, dont go into debt trying to have that perfect insta influencer wedding! At the end of the day, years later, what you remember is marrying your best friend with your family and loved ones with you. ❤️
When you hear wedding rituals people jump to the idea of it being super religious, but this is not always the case. There are many rituals and ceremonies you can use to bring an extra something special to your day. Be it symbolising the unity of two families coming together or whether you want to symbolise how important everyone at your ceremony is to you. Below are just a few examples of ceremonies and rituals that can be used in the day. If you want to know more please feel free to get in touch.
Candle lighting - Lighting a candle from two smaller candles to show the merging of two becoming one or the merging of families.
Sand ceremony - This is often used by those who have children or are marrying for a second time, this is where different coloured sands are poured together into a vase or vessel to represent the merging of family. It also makes for a lovely decoration afterwards.
Handfasting ceremony - The hands of the couple are bound together to represent the binding of two lives.
Ring warming ceremony - This is where the guests all touch the wedding rings to bless them or give them luck for the couple.
Tree planting ceremony - A tree is planted in a pot, you can use soil from both your hometowns for an extra little touch. The tree, like your relationship will need love and care.
Ok so this is a bit of a long one, but totally worth the read! A list of a few things to remember on your wedding day that I have gathered from couples I have spoken to!
Take time for yourselves, this is your day.
Remember to eat and drink, it can be so easy to forget this simple task!
Try to be present, in the moment, the day goes so quickly, breath and try to take it all in.
Pay the vendors prior, this takes a lot of stress off you during and after the wedding.
Have a plan B, weather is something you can't plan for, both rain and heat can be too much so always best to have a plan B at your venue.
Include yourself in your guest count, sounds obvious, but it happens.
Take your daily medication, if you have it this is not the day to forget to take it!
Transportation, atleast give this some thought, you might need to organise a bus for your guests or just a car for you and the wedding party.
Plan your thankyou speech, dont get caught out not knowing what to say and if public speaking isnt your thing, write it down.
Get your wedding vows down before the wedding day!
Get pictures with your special guests, take the time to get the pictures you want, the photographer works for you today!
Assign someome to collect the gifts, you dont want to forget those (and your personal items at the end)
Have a phone charger or power bank, you dont want this dying on your special day, people use their phone for pictures, music... all kinds of things.
It's so important to get to know your marriage celebrant, they will become such a vital part of your special day!

After university I found my way to working on cruise ships as an entertainer and singer for 6 and a half years! It was here at sea that I met my wife and made the decision to move to Australia.

If there is one huge piece of advice I could give to all the couples out there getting married it is this, relax and enjoy the day! You have planned this day exactly how you want it and now here it is! You deserve to just soak it all in and enjoy, because believe me it will all be over in a heartbeat!
Stressing is natural in these highly emotional situations, but just remember, stressing wont help anything. Take a deep breath and focus on what needs to get done and then step back and enjoy the best day of your lives with all your loved ones around you both! ❤️💍👰♀️🤵🏻♂️
