We have started packing tubers this week and we hope to start shipping from the last week of September and through into October. Some of our tubers have not yet woken up so we will do our best to get your orders to you as quickly as possible. Once we sort out our farm tubers we will have one more sale in October, so stay tuned for that, if you have any space left in your garden. Happy Dahlia season! We have been a little quiet of late on socials. But not on the farm! Winter is always a race against time for us. Digging and dividing 5000 dahlias is quite a feat and now we are now onto pruning the roses. We officially started last weekend and will take us a few weeks to do. Hopefully finishing before spring hits. It's a good time for us to get up close and personal with each rose bush to check the health of the plant. Wish us luck as we keep tracking towards a spring full of beautiful roses! 🌹

Big THANK YOU to all our subscribers who purchased tubers in our weekend sale. We were overwhelmed by your support and feel blessed to have so many repeat customers 🙏 We have now taken out of stocks off the website and we have topped up where we could. There are still some great tubers up for grabs including Coorabell Jessie, Edge of Gold and even a couple of Vera's Elma we topped up if your quick. Missing the flowers right about now with the cold, the mud and the enormous task of dividing all these tubers. We are planning to have our tuber sale around mid to late July. We are just working through numbers now. We'll be updating our site very soon with all this season varieties. We have so many more this year! We have been a little quiet lately. Our season ended at the end of April and after a short break, we have been busy prepping dahlias for end of the season... and extending our patch! Yep, this year we are expanding with lots of new flower beds being created and around 10k of new seedlings 🌱 going in the ground. Which involves these guys in the pic. They are the workhorses of the farm if I am to be fair, they deserve their own post. (Andrew included) Our new tunnel house arrived (2nd pic) and will be installed soon which is a game changer for our growing period next year! So while the paddock is once again a muddy mess and there is a mountain of work to do, we are excited for the seasons ahead. Dahlias will be dug out in June and our sales will be July, so stay tuned for them. A very big thank you to everyone who supported us and our farm this year. ❤ We loved seeing the amazing work florists do with our flowers. The beautiful brides that brought direct, we loved meeting you, our locals who brought direct from the farm gate, and of course the dahlia enthusiasts who kept us busy with tuber sales. Thank you! Lastly... the Farmers Markets, we had an absolute ball meeting people who love flowers as much as we do. We can't wait to see you again soon (bigger and better) Thank you, Thank you 🙏 ❤💐

This little ball dahlia started out as a mystery dahlia from a swap I did but it sure was a jackpot dahlia. It one is a great producer and the orange and darker centre was a hit with florists and markets alike.

French Watermelon we thought we had lost these tubers to rot this year... but we must of had a clump in a crate of mixed unknowns. Now we had 4-5 plants pop up this season. We will be able to share tubers of this crazy Watermelon coloured cactus after all. Note... first picture is how tight we pick it as cut flower the second is how crazy fun it can get.

We are in the process of shipping your Dahlia Tubers starting this week. We hope to complete all shipping by end of next week. You will get a tracking number when your tubers are on their way. We will reach out with pick up dates to those who will be collecting direct from the farm. So excited for everyone to have their new dahlias ready for planting soon. We will then take stock of our own tubers for planting. This year we will be expanding to put in 7000 plants and a breeding patch which I am most excited about. We will have one more online sale towards the end of October. This year we will also be selling dahlia tubers at some markets coming up in our local area. Lots happening on the farm in the last few weeks... a hectic start to the season with lots of infrastructure just going in now. Eeek and Spring is already here! New automated electric irrigation system going in and a new level space for the tunnel house. On the tail end of planting seedlings and I couldn't be happier about it. This year we decided we need to fight the weeds! So have invested in good quality weedmat that should last years. Last season weed management just about broke us physicaly and financially (with mulch costs and labour) So scaling up the farm this year we knew we had to do things differently. #farmingflowers #weedmanagement #fightingweedswithfire

The coolroom has been filled twice this week with lots of blooms heading out for weddings and the Torquay Market today! We will be at Birregurra Hall later today for the film night 'Rachel's Farm'. The hall is open to the public between 5 -6pm, so come down as say hello. We would love to see you and some of these goodies will be there to purchase too.
