Bush Grazing Deep nature gatherings & earthly feasting experiences on Gumbaynggirr country 🌀🌳

18/02/2025

As you've probably heard, Pine Creek has gone ACTIVE – forestry could start logging at any time - and we need YOU to keep the momentum alive.

We are back doing daily events, with old and new faces coming together to share what they can. If you've got time, energy, or a spark of interest, we need more hands on deck. Whether you’re joining for a good yarn by the fire, sharing stories from other campaigns, jumping into up-skill sessions, or pouring the tea - your presence matters. This is about strategising, holding space, and keeping the resistance strong.

Come lend your strength, however you can. We need to protect the forests that protect us from climate collapse!

An adorable noolbenger (Noongar, honey possum) feeding on the nectar of a succulent candlestick banksia.

Did you know that the noolbenger is one of the world's smallest marsupials, weighing only 7 to 16g? These tiny possums are endemic to the flower-rich forests of southwest Western Australia where they survive off a year-round supply of nectar and pollen.

Frothing life after hanging out on Yaegl country last week with & cooking for their epic teacher trainer crew who are all doing the work to create a more earth connected future.

Big love to Kate & Sam for sharing this lifetime of nature connection work ~ so damn important right now. I did my teacher training with them a couple of years ago & can highly recommend this work & nature programs. So inspiring to see these legend humans going for it!

Full heart for the beautiful connections that emerged, to the sweaty summer skill sessions, serendipitous nature moments, bush kitchen cook-ups, laughing fits, deep remembering & reciprocal kindness.

A wonderful way to wrap up Bush Grazing catering for the year.. thanks to all who have supported BG.

I love you ! 🌀🧡

BREAKING: Logging has been halted in Orara East State Forest this morning! A forest defender is suspended 30m high in a tree-sit from configuration of ropes that are strung across the only entrance to the forest, blocking all trucks, vehicles and workers from logging the forest today.

While the native logging industry in Victoria moves to an end and the NSW Government is pledging to do something about koalas, these forests are still being destroyed.

While those in power have pledged to create a Great Koala National Park, NSW Forestry Corp have ramped up their efforts to take as much as they can while they still have access to these native forests.

While climate collapse is giving us floods, fires and extinctions, indigenous knowledge holders and western scientists are banging their heads against the wall. The government continues to fail us, and the forests are still being destroyed.

While this system keeps churning through the trees… WE are these ecosystems's last line of defense.

We are calling on anyone who cares for the future of this planet, to take action, until there is an immediate, absolute end to all destructive logging practices across the state.
