PAST LOVES 🥰

Brad and I (and Gus) wanted to say a massive thank you for the wonderful, genuine, funny and perfect wedding ceremony you put together for us. We felt like you were there with us every step of the way through planning, to grabbing me a glass of water on the day, wrangling Nannas for family photos and just being the all round best celebrant a couple could ask for.

Every single person has commented on how much they loved the ceremony with several people telling me straight after the ceremony it was the best one they had ever been to! Everyone agreed it was such a perfect representation of me and Brad. You made everyone feel so welcomed and comfortable (several guests took the oath to party a little too hard but was all in good fun!). We really can’t express how much of a bloody gem you are! Thank you for marrying us and giving a memory we and our family and friends will never forget!

A hot minute since I created anything online, its been a TIME!

What an exceptional few months of luscious lovers and life in general. May have been quiet on the socials front but like a good house party that upsets the neighbours I've been up to a lot over the fence. As the "season" winds down, the bra comes off and I lean in to the relax and recoup a wee bit more I'm pumped for all the love I am giving my upcoming weddings and the new ones I am getting to know.

"I’ll start this by saying WOW! Not only is Steph an absolutely beautiful human, she is a magician. One of a number of comments from our guests was “Your celebrant turned your lives into a love story” and she did!

But honestly 5 stars just don’t cut it. What an honor to have someone so amazing marry us!

From our first meeting it felt like we had known Steph a lifetime. She made us totally comfortable. Not only that, she constantly reassured us that our day was going to be amazing. She was always there to assist us with anything we needed. Once we had Steph on board it felt like our stress just disappeared. Steph provided so much support and her resources you get access to are really helpful.

Some guests comments.

- Your Celebrant was amazing. She even played along with your silliness.
- It was like she took us on a journey of your lives with bits we didn’t even know about you guys.
- We have never been to a wedding where the celebrant made us feel like a part of the celebration.
- Well, with a ceremony like that, you guys have SERIOUSLY set the bar high for the next one!

That’s just a few of MANY compliments that are for Steph. Funny thing is. We didn’t set the bar! Steph did! We left our whole ceremony (other than rings and vows) to her.
We asked Steph to include a couple of things. Other than that it was all left to Steph and we got to hear our ceremony along with all our guests. She made us laugh, she made us cry and everything in between.
I can also say she goes above and beyond! My Husband, myself and my family were really touched at the extent Steph went to for our day. To say we are immensely grateful would be an understatement"

Vows - your most personal, special, genuine, intimate feelings. As they should be. But if the idea of saying those beautiful things out loud in front of your peeps makes your toes curl, take them offline.

Give them to your photographer, and have that moment captured in private during your portraits - still on your wedding day, still in your fly attire, but just the two of you.

Today I cracked my 💯 ceremonies cherry! That's TWO HUNDRED loved up legends I have had the pride, the privilege nay, the pleasure, of hitching! ❤

DELIGHTED! Feeling all the things, humbled, proud and happy as myself, with a champagne in one hand and a party pie in the other.

Some might say that January 2020 was a s**t time to become a celebrant... and they wouldn't be completely wrong .. ha.. BUT what a whirlwind two years! And despite at times it feeling like kayaking with a teaspoon (and I don't 'do' sportsing, so that's saying a lot) I wouldn't change anything about the opportunities, relationships, experiences, growth I have had.

BRB - there's a celebratory cocktail with my name on it over there ... *scuttles off*

PAST LOVES 🥰

My Celebrant is better than your Celebrant💕 We met this beautiful human Stephanie Slater online while planning our wedding through Melbourne lockdowns. There was a lot of unknowns planning a wedding during pandemic, a lot of anxiety, some tears for not being able to have my overseas parents attending our Big Day. Steph was there for us through it all. I was probably the most chilled and clueless bride she has ever seen, but she helped to make our day not only happened on the schedule but it was incredibly special 💕 Steph is amazing, warm, generous and incredibly kind beyond our expectations. She is highly professional, does what she does for passion and love and she took all our worries and nerves off the table💕 She is a fantastic storyteller and has put our love stories in words way better than we ever could 💕 On our honeymoon we found a bag with her presents for us, a handmade gift with both of our vows and every words from the ceremony 💕 She has turned our beautiful day into words that we get to read and keep forever 💕 How lucky we're we to have met you Steph💕 Thanks a million for everything and I wish we could have wedding ceremony over and over again every year 🤣

I often get asked what my favourite part of a ceremony or my job is, and honestly its like choosing between sleep or food ... it's not possible.

I do however LOVE the post ceremony high - the adrenalin rush is subsiding, my love birds are no longer packing it over their vows or tripping over down the aisle or saying 'awful' wedded other half - there is just cloud 9 high love vibes ...

ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM

You all hummed the Mazda ad didn't you??

WELL! What a year this last fortnight has turned out to be?! Fully prepared in the brace position for the start of the year to go to hell in a hand basket as I saw in 2022 with a cheeky bout of the dreaded spicy cough, I am fully recovered and thrilled by the optimism, resilience and trooper attitude of couples and fellow industry vendors alike.

Planning weddings in COVID has been like learning to drive a manual car (lurching forward, abrupt stop, bounce a few more steps forward, stalling and starting up again, wondering wtf constantly but persevering regardless because you won't be undermined by a bloody gear stick!.... maybe just me?)

Anywho! I have gone down the proverbial slip'n'slide that has been the start of the season for me - head first, mildly damp (humidity can die in a hole) and full of enthusiasm. So despite the lack of face to face dinner dates, coffees and cocktails with my love boats, HQ is BUZZING with new enquiries, lots of virtual vinos and making magic thanks to the blessing of technology keeping us connected from a distance.

As the sun sets on 2021, I am reflecting on my time pretty bloody well spent.

Big love to all my couples, the 51 I have been privileged to marry this year and those I have just started getting to know! I've made some incredible friendships this year, been part of so many epic celebrations, spent a lot of quality time with my family, conquered hurdles, smashed some goals and tried a lot of new things (GOD I suck at calligraphy).

Peace out 2021 you cheeky bastard - 2022 is bursting at the seams and I can't bloody wait. So pop the champas, hold your people close and lets welcome another year to spend kicking our own goals, making memories and celebrating every moment we have on this giant ball of gas! Every day gives reason to celebrate, so don't mind if I do!

This is me

I have worked in hospitality and events all my life, knowing pretty early on that weddings would be the butter to my toast. I was a wedding planner for 10 years before I decided to make the greatest decision ever and become a marriage celebrant.

When planning your wedding ceremony, its important to find someone who understands your unique vibe, is picking up what you’re putting down and is just as pumped as you are to officially tie that knot. But what’s even more important is to find someone who helps support and prepare you both for your moment – because this is your love story and your commitment, your way. THAT should be right up there on the ‘things I’m excited to organise’ list.

I would be positively stoked to do the honours.

I’m open minded, creative and enthusiastic, and I consider myself to be a bit of a hoot!
