Holding a naming ceremony is a delight. Family is a blessing. We forget the importance of our names, chosen with care by our parents. Maybe your name has a family tradition or a meaning your mum loved. I held a naming recently just as I'd done for her sister 16 months before. This time we included the blessing of the placentas.

It is a privilege to hold a funeral service. Recently a family included their loved ones dog, he checked out all the mourners, finally settled on a knee, It was an honour to read a sweet poem for the goodest boy🐕🐶🦮🐕‍🦺🐩❤️

Yesterday I had the privilege of holding a funeral service for a beautiful soul, a vibrant lady I've known nearly all my life💞Her family reflects the love she surrounded them with. May they walk softly in griefs journey holding her close in their heart❤️

Blessing, readings, poems, even words from a favourite song, are a beautiful inclusion in a ceremony. They can be read by the celebrant, family members, friends, if its a wedding ceremony then couples may do the reading or a parent during a naming ceremony, . Sometimes the words bring tears, laughter, beautiful memories or the beginning of new ones.
