This is my new favourite couple!

Megan and Jakub married last weekend at Goolugatup Heathcote Reserve in Applecross. A breeze coming off the river helped keep the temperature down, and the timing of the 5pm ceremony meant their guests were all in the shade. A perfect afternoon!

This is my new favourite couple!

Denny and Leigharna married last weekend, on Leigharna’s big birthday. They were heading off to her birthday party after the ceremony to announce to their friends and family that they had just married. Their ceremony took place at Baldwin’s cottage in Serpentine, which once belonged to Denny’s ancestors - such a special day!

This is my new favourite couple!

Michelle and Adam married in what was meant to be a surprise wedding at their engagement party. However, I overheard one guest saying, “I just knew they were getting married tonight,” so I’m not too sure how many of their guests were surprised. However, the mood in was definitely celebratory, with cheers and applause all round.

Veronica and Eduardo married at my house exactly a month after lodging their Notice of Intended Marriage. They are here with their witnesses, my husband Geoff and lovely neighbour Nisha who came to help make the marriage legal.

Ryan and Rachel live in Sydney but married here in Perth on the green. The bowling green that is, in Mt Lawley, surrounded by a very enthusiastic group of friends.
Despite the distance, communication between us was easy, with a video chat and lots of emails before we actually met in person a few days before their wedding.

Zy and Nhelmar have had a long distance relationship for four years, with Zy being here in Perth and Nhelmar in the Philippines. Now their time apart is finished, as they joined in marriage. This is my new favourite couple!

I loved being able to watch Kyaw and Khin marry in a traditional religious ceremony in the stunning Montgomery Hall recently. After that ceremony was complete, we followed it up with a simple legal ceremony to make it all official. Such a beautiful evening!

Deanne and Richard wanted a brief, casual backyard wedding, accompanied only by a handful of family members and a neighbour. So that’s exactly what they had! They gave their vows to each other, signed the certificates and were pronounced husband and wife. ❤️

As long as the minimal legal parts are included, you can have any sort of wedding you want!
