Fancy a red dirt wedding? Bullara station have an arbour ready and waiting! While I’d love to officiate a wedding here (although not dressed like this 😂), it would probably be a whole lot cheaper to go with a celebrant who lives locally, rather than pay my travel expenses 🤷♀️.
My lovely husband and I are now in the final days of our trip and will be home, ready and raring to be marrying couple again, in only a few days.

Cathy married us at the beautiful Yoothamurra Homestead in Oakford a few months ago. Even with a few distractions from our 3 year old stealing the show she was very patient and never missed a beat, we had a lovely relaxing ceremony just like as wanted. The process was super simple, Cathy came to our house one evening to sign papers and get to know us and our story a bit better and then wrote us such a lovely tribute that summed up our relationship up until that point. We 100% recommend Weddings with Cathy to everyone, she (and her team/husband) are very accepting and easy to get along with and will make your day!

It was my first time at this venue on Saturday, and with weddings scheduled all day, we were watching the sky just a tad anxiously. But while it rained while we were setting up, during our lunch break and then after the last wedding, there was no rain during any of the weddings. All in all, a perfect day where 7 couples married, with either or myself as their celebrant.

It’s illegal to have a surprise wedding, where one partner isn’t aware of the wedding about to take place. But as long as you have a celebrant and two witnesses, you don’t need to let anyone else know. So this photo is of my lovely friend Lia and equally lovely husband Geoff who were witnesses for today’s wedding, for a couple who want to let (or not let) others know about their marriage in their own time.

This morning’s wedding was between Minderjeet and Davinder, in their home. With one of their friends acting as interpreter for Minderjeet, they were married with a simple and simply lovely legals only ceremony.
Jasmine and Danny married recently at Nanga Bush Camp, in Dwellingup. This is such a beautiful venue if you love the bush as much as I do, with plenty of accommodation for guests. Their friend presented the ceremony beautifully while I jumped in with the legalities and solemnised their marriage with them and their witnesses at the very end.

These lovers met in high school and formalised their relationship by marrying last Wednesday. I wrote their love story, Maddi’s Nan presented it and I stepped in when it was time to say the legal bits. Huge congratulations to Maddi and Jaydon.

Samantha and Richard, accompanied by baby Ada, married on Wednesday morning this week in bushland alongside their home. Theirs was a beautiful intimate ceremony, with Richard’s parents there too, as their witnesses. That’s all you need to marry - two witnesses and your celebrant. 😍
It was my honour to marry Susan and Bob yesterday at . They first met on New Years Eve 1979, and since then have rarely spent a day apart. Love stories like this make my heart melt!
A plug too for Avocados. It’s a beautiful venue, just off the Brookton Highway in Kelmscott. This wedding was pulled together in just over a week, and the staff, from their operations manager through to the wait staff could not be faulted!
Jess and Chris married yesterday in a beautiful, intimate backyard wedding. Chris flew in last week from Texas for his wedding - now Jess will be getting her visa application underway so she can join her husband in the USA.
Two things are very clear to me:
1. Distance is no real obstacle to love. ❤️
2. I need to pick photo positions better so there’s not so much shadow 🙄

Could there be a more beautiful backdrop than the ocean? Jess and Jordan’s wedding on Saturday had perfect weather, perfect colours and the stunning sea behind us. You may get only a glimpse of me in the first photo - I try and stay out of the scene as much as I can, only coming into the frame for vows, ring exchange and the ‘I do’ bit, when you need the microphone. 🎤

Jordan and Jess married yesterday afternoon at the beautiful Shoalwater Bay, with perfect weather for my first beach wedding. Bare feet, warm sand… I want more of these!!
MEGAN and MITCHELL… Meg and Mitch’s wedding at Jackadder Lake yesterday was a tad breezy, keeping the temperature down to pleasant (and leaving a few of us with a definite wind swept look). White cockatoos kept us company from within the trees throughout the ceremony, and it was just as well that I carry Wet Ones in my emergency pack - luckily the birds respected the bride and groom, but some of their guests weren’t so lucky!
