We totally understand that it can be daunting getting out and meeting new people 💗 Mums have expressed to us that they get worried and anxious, they don’t want to be surrounded by clique-y mums and judgemental, nasty women. It’s on, all booked in and ready for December 3rd! We will be holding out last Mums dinner for the year, so let’s make it a great night! We have cocktail/mocktail on arrival, wines during the evening, share platters, great venue, mums, and a few sneaky goodies.
We know it can be daunting getting out and meeting new mums so we thought we would make it fun; each mum gets a little check sheet with some funny ice breaking questions, there will be prizes given away as you make your way through the night. Some of these great prizes include PT sessions, microdermabrasion Facial, pilates classes, cacao packs and more!

Every mum needs a night out with other mums; NO ONE UNDERSTANDS YOUR LIFE LIKE ANOTHER MUM! 🤣🤪🥰
I used to think that when I went out I would not to talk about my kids, but now I have accepted the inevitable. The awesome thing about going out with other mums is that they totally get you. You can talk about being exhausted, about the new stages or changes your kids are going through, the crazy things your body is going through. Talk about significant others, and so on and chances are, at least one other mum will relate. This always makes me do a sigh of relief because I know I’m not the only one.

Mums need good Mum Friends…but how do you make them?

So how do you go about making new friends as a mum?
* Get out there – Literally get out of the house and go for a walk. Talk to other mums in the park. See if they want to catch up for a coffee next week, You may just meet your new BFF.
* Make the first move – It’s scary, yes. But take a deep breath and start up a conversation with the other mum at the playground. What’s the worst that can happen?
* Get contact information – Make sure you exchange contact information so that you can organise a coffee the following week or meet each other again at the park.
* Plan the first playdate – You already have something in common- your children! So use it to your advantage and be the first to plan a playdate. Pick a time and place that’ll work for you both.
* Come to one of our events 😀

Do you find it hard to meet other mums? Finding a group of fellow mums to chat with, vent to and socialise with – your ‘tribe’ as such – is super important. It can be the difference between having a great experience as a mum, or feeling completely lost, isolated and (in some cases) post natally depressed. Whether you are a first time mum or have a whole wolf pack of kids, having mum friends really makes a world of difference.
Our dinners are all about mums getting out, having a great time and meeting other mums and making a connection. Check out our latest dinner happening September 24th, it’s speed dating - but for mums meeting other mums. Making mum friends is important but often so hard.
Even once you’ve decided to put yourself out there, it might feel uncomfortable, awkward and may not lead to friendships. Having those mum friends is invaluable in so many ways. You need friends who understand what you’re going through, while being able to lend a sympathetic ear when you’re need to vent those all too common mum frustrations. While you can connect on social media, face to face connections provide a much greater support, help you get out of the house and allow your kids to interact with others too. Which is why we started The G. Events 🥰 We want to take that stress and anxiety out of meeting new mums by creating fun and enjoyable events where mums can come along to relax, connect and enjoy!!

We’re often too exhausted or too busy watching the kids to really talk, perceived or real cliques, you don’t know what to say, judgements on parenting styles and so on. It might feel like everyone already knows each other or you might be worried that they won’t like you (you’re not even sure how much you like yourself some days). Rest assured we’re all in the same boat and just want to meet other mums to connect with and build a friendship. Please check out our latest event; Speed dating for mums - it’s a fun twist on the traditional sense dating and gives you the opportunity to chat with more mums and have a good old laugh.
