You're about to start booking your wedding suppliers. It's such an exciting time but...how do you know that the business you're considering is all they say they are?

When you're about to part with your hard-earned cash, you need to research and read reviews from verified sources of the business you're considering, not just posts or reviews on Facebook and Instagram. There's also Google reviews, but they're not verified. ABIA is an exceptional source of truth for you, where couple's reviews are verified.

Next ask the business to send you their Service Agreement or Contract which stipulates the terms and conditions. Read this carefully. If they don't have one, that's a big red flag! Walk away! You need to know exactly how this business operates, the payment schedule, and cancellation fees or costs. For example there are two Swan Valley venues that will bump your date if a concert booking is taken.

We've all heard the saying "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". Ask for a detailed invoice, that stipulates exactly what is included, payment dates etc. If one quote is way cheaper than all the rest, delve deeper...you may not be comparing apples with apples.

If the business wants full payment up front...they're waving a red flag at you! Most will require a deposit, and then payments at different points alone their timeline in the lead up to your big day.

And finally, trust your gut instinct. If something doesn't feel right, go elsewhere, there are so many fabulous wedding suppliers in Perth that you will find your perfect match with not a red flag to be seen!
