Fiona was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.I don't feel the word 'celebrant' does Fiona enough justice, because to us, she was so much more than that title suggests.During the many months leading up to our wedding, Fiona spent immense time establishing an organic relationship with my partner and I.So, by the time the wedding day came around, we were already very comfortable with her.Whilst I will forever be grateful for the support Fiona provided leading up to the wedding, and the beautiful ceremony script she wrote and delivered, there is one moment between Fiona and I that tops it all.As I arrived at the ceremony and prepared to walk the aisle, I began to panic. I was on the verge of many many tears and was shaking like a leaf. But Fiona came to me, held my hand and took me through a simple breathing exercise. I'm not sure Fiona is aware of what this meant to me, especially now reflecting back on everything. Something so simple that had such a huge impact. Her presence was calming, gentle and warm, and within only a minute or two, with Fiona by side, I was composed and ready to marry my best friend.
