SUNDAY STUDIO SESSIONS
My first workshop for the year is finally here and I’m so excited to be sharing the deets with you! 👏🏻

Throughout winter I’ll be running a selection of affordable Sunday sessions in the studio, kicking it off with the first session on Sunday 16th June @ 10am.

We’ll be creating an organic style, native bouquet using a dodda vine base to help with placement, making this the perfect workshop for total beginners. 🍃

Refreshments and morning tea will be provided as well as all the gear and flowers you’ll need. Total cost is $100 ☺️

Due to limited space in the studio I have a maximum capacity of 6 participants per session so places are expected to fill up quick!

I can finally reveal my BIG secret I’ve been keeping all year! Josh and I are so excited to announce the newest addition to The Petal Press Co fam will be here in September and we can’t wait to meet our little one 🍼🤍

I know you all probably thought what the hell is going on with me lately. I’ve been so MIA on socials, totally changed the structure of the business this year and haven’t had a single workshop with no explanation 😬 It’s all because your girl is tired from making her greatest creation yet!

The aim this year is to take it slow and focus on the weddings and events that are booked in and of course the little family we’re growing too!

I’m honestly so bloody excited to start this new chapter and I’ve been so fortunate that I’ve been able to adapt the business to suit my needs currently and have you all still support it, I’m truly so lucky 💕🫶🏻

MOTHER’S DAY 2024
You’ve all been asking so I thought I better jump on here and give you all a little update for what the go is this year for Mother’s Day.

I’ve decided to take a break this year from the annual pop up shop (total bummer I know, the decision didn’t come easily!)

There’s a big reason behind this decision and I plan on sharing that reason with you tomorrow night so remember to check back in for that post because it’s an important one! 🫶🏻

However if you are needing some beautiful blooms for Mum this weekend I will be flowering up a storm at all week. Myself and the team there have all your Mother’s Day gifting needs sorted so pop in store or give us a ring!

LONG TIME NO SEE!
The Petal Press Co is officially back in office from tomorrow and I couldn’t be more pumped!

I left the year on a cliff hanger telling you all to expect some big changes and news, and here’s announcement number one!

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning you’ll find me flowering up a storm at which is where my floristry journey began 9 years ago!

For all my many loyal customer that were sad to see the dailies go, call in to the shop or give the business a call and I can work some magic for you!

I absolutely loved having the dailies as part of my business but truth be told being a sole trader is super lonely, sometimes I could go the whole week without having a conversation with someone in person and for a chatter box that was rough!
So I’m so stoked to be back in a shop part time and so happy I’ve found a place that’s supportive of my big plans for The Petal Press Co.

Hopefully I get to see some familiar faces in store 💕☺️

🎄ON HOLIDAY🎄
The Petal Press Co is officially on holiday! Which means it’s also the conclusion daily deliveries. A big thank you to everyone who placed order with us over the past 3 years!

Cannot wait to begin this new chapter and share it with you all, BIG THINGS coming for 2023.

BLOOM CARE
It’s going to be a hot one today, which means it’s good to take extra care of your blooms to ensure they last!

For the best lifespan make sure you unwrap your flowers as soon as you get them! Next cut about 2cm off the stems and place them in fresh, cool water with a preservative sachet if you have some!

It’s important to place your flowers out of direct contact with air cons, fans or ducted heating/cooling vents and away from windows as this can really dry them out!

And most importantly remember to recut their stems and change the water every other day to ensure they keep hydrated! It’s a little bit of maintenance but it really helps you to enjoy their beauty for so much longer! 🌻

PLANS ARE UNDERWAY
The big decision of closing daily deliveries means I have A LOT more time and energy to refocus into weddings, events and workshops!

While I’m still nutting out exactly what this new chapter for The Petal Press Co will look like some things are a definite for 2024;

Immersive experiences from start to finish when planning your wedding and event flowers. Wedding and events are my love, and with more energy to give to them I’m hoping to make your whole experience EPIC!

Our biggest Mother’s Day Pop Up shop to date. 🌸

WAYYYY more workshops! I love sharing my knowledge with you all and watching you create your own pieces of magic. I have BIG plans for lots of different offerings here but don’t want to spoil the surprise just yet. So keep your eyes peeled early 2024 for lots of announcements!

I finally feel like I have my spark back and I’m definitely going to be entering 2024 with a BANG 💥✨

ONE WEEK UNTIL VACAY!
And just one more week to get yourself one of my bouquets as daily deliveries won’t be continuing in 2024.

Whilst I’m on holiday I’ll be switching off social media and admin and enjoying a hard earned month off with my family and friends after a roller coaster of a year.

I’ll have an automated email/social media response for any enquiries with a contact method if your enquiry is urgent, otherwise I’ll be getting back to you all on the 15th of January! Along with sharing lots of exciting plans! 🙊

GOODBYE TO DAILY DELIVERIES
I’ve been umming and ahhing for a hot minute on whether to make this decision and it finally feels like the right time to say goodbye to the daily bouquet deliveries, and hello to a new chapter in 2024.

For a while I’ve felt like there’s been too many aspects of the business to keep on top of and I’ve never been able to give each area 100% which as a perfectionist kills me!

Moving forward I’ll be focusing primarily on weddings, event work and workshops which was my initial intention when I started The Petal Press Co 3 years ago.

My goal is to really give all my attention and energy to what I really get excited about and enjoy doing.

Thank you SO SO MUCH to everyone who has supported my business and ordered bouquets on a regular basis. It’s been so heartwarming helping you celebrate important milestones in your life. Your loyalty to my business over the years has meant more to me than than I could ever express.

The Petal Press Co isn't closing, just saying goodbye to the daily grind so I can redirect my energy into what feels right.

If you have read this far, thank you. I appreciate you so much and I'm really excited to for this next chapter and to share what I have planned! Our daily deliveries will be available until the end of next week!

About Me

For those who don’t know me, my name is Lani Chapman and I am the face behind The Petal Press Co.

My flower journey began when I was in year 10 and completed work placement at a local florist and I have never looked back since! Fast forward six years and I am now a fully qualified florist with a Certificate III & IV in Floristry.

I’ve dedicated myself to being involved within the industry. I have competed on multiple occasions regionally and nationally. My proudest achievements so far have been representing Victoria in the Floristry Competition at the World Skills Nationals and winning Gold at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show with my bower bird nest design.

I have had the pleasure of working with many leaders in the industry which has provided me with a wealth of skills and knowledge.
