DJ Relaxative is back on the tools for a heart warming, body moving interstitial set at White Night in his home town of Ballarat on 1 June. What an amazing line up of talent and projected art, be sure to head up the Western Highway and get amongst the action

~ Exciting gig news ~

I can finally announce how chuffed I am to be doing a hometown interstitial set on the main (Evening Star) stage at White Night Ballarat on Saturday 1 June. I'll be warming up and setting the vibe for such amazing artists as The ReChords, Parvyn, James Ellis and the Jealous Guys, TEK TEK Ensemble, Jazzparty, The Counterfeit + two-step dance lessons with Emma B from H***y Tonk HQ.

Some real killer locals on the Last Chance stage too - be sure to check out and boogie to Yacht Club DJs, LASHES, Reef Rats, GBOMM DJ, Sami, Confetti Western, and Troy Firebrace.

Aaaand of course those incred projections across the city.

~ Creative industries (especially contemporary music) grant funding opportunities ~

Bang on two weeks to go to get an application in to Creative Australia's current funding programs (apps due to be submitted by 3pm on Tuesday 5 March 2024):

- Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups - between $10,000-50,000 for a range of activities that deliver benefits to the arts sector and wider public, including national and international audiences and communities

- Arts Projects for Organisations - between $20,000-100,000 for organisations that undertake arts programs, projects, or that provide services to artists

- Contemporary Music Touring Program - up to $50,000 to support national tours by musicians performing original contemporary music

- Playing Australia Project Investment - no upper limit for funding that supports performing arts tours to reach regional and remote communities across Australia

- Contemporary Touring Initiative - up to $200,000 for the development and/or national touring of significant contemporary visual arts and craft exhibitions

And for contemporary music VENUES, don't miss the current round of federal Live Music Australia funding - closing 11.30pm (AEDT) Tuesday 12 March 2024 - up to $100,000 to support small to medium Australian live music venues

Friends! I'm looking for record and other music owners/sellers with quality collections to sell (for FREE) at a fun, new event in Ballarat on Sat 2 March.

Records/media will need to be relevant and sellable (not looking for musicals, classical or children's music) and in good condition for potential buyers. No fee to sell, but will need to be 100% self sufficient (bring table(s), marquee, etc.).

You could have a larger individual collection, or be a group of friends 😎
