From a special morning spent on "Ovation" the beautiful vessel to a stunning lunch with friends and cocktail networking enjoying a glorious sunset.

The sun has officially set on the 2024 Regional Long Lunch! Held at the serene gin distillery in Roma, Central Queensland, today has been a Winter marvel.

In full sun 150 ladies enjoyed lunch on the lawns. A mouth-watering lunch with crafted gin cocktail pairings has been a real delight for all our guests.

Special thanks to our Empowerment Panel: Cr Joh Hancock, Michelle McVeigh and Elizabeth Fleming for gifting us great advice on supporting each other, our communities and ourselves.

One of our regular long lunching ladies is on annual leave with her family at the moment and didn't want to suffer from FOMO next Friday as she misses out on joining us at Western Queensland Spirit for the 2024 Regional Long Lunch in Roma...

To combat that, she stopped in to visit the team at the gin distillery just outside of town yesterday instead and sent us a couple of snaps of her day. We'll miss you next week Rebecca! But we're so pleased you got to experience the wonderful hospitality from the crew that our guests will also experience at our event.

What a great lesson! Success is not final, failure is not fatal.

We need to experience both success and failures to learn great life lessons from everything we do. From not getting up before the alarm sounds, to not eating enough vegetables, to not sending out that invoice earlier, to not taking a bigger step up onto that platform we're aiming for.

The courage to turn up today, tomorrow and all the moments are cause for celebration too.

Turn up ladies! That's what will make the difference.

We love to encourage you to take time out of your busy day for you.

That might mean you need a break from the constant social media scroll. Or to take time to eat your food slowly - or let's face it, time to actually eat properly.

It could like booking time out to catch up with friends and talk about something other than work for a change.

On Friday's every couple of months, we like to hang out with friends at the end of a big week for a wind down wine.

It might look like looking out a window and appreciating the beauty of the world around you. Or sitting in the present moment listening to the sounds around you and concentrating on them for a couple of minutes.

We know a lot of our LWLL community are masters of mindfulness, and we'd love to hear from you. Is there a practice you do each day, that you can share with us all, to encourage others to pick up a new idea of how to take time out?
