Selecting an urn to memorialise a loved one is a very personal choice.

These days urns can be made from a variety of materials including ceramic, steel, natural stone, or wood. Some maintain the recognisable vase shape while others can resemble figurines, balls used in popular sports, or pieces of modern sculpture.

If you're searching for the perfect piece to commemorate a loved one, a range of beautiful and unique urns can be viewed at our showroom every weekday during business hours.

Facing death, these people found a clarity about how to live

If you're in the local vicinity of Bacchus Marsh on Saturday, 3rd of February @ 10am then we'd love for you to come and join Nikki and Sam at the Lederberg Library where they'll be presenting a special talk on Grown Not Flown - not all flowers are grown equal, as part of a local community event hosted by Moorabool Libraries called BacchChat.
It's free to register and as part of the session we'll be sharing our flower farming story, some of the challenges we faced as new growers, and why "not all flowers are grown equal".

We're looking forward to shining a spotlight on our amazing flower industry, micro and small-scale growers and all the incredible benefits of supporting local.

If you're in the area and/or are free that day, we'd love to see some familiar and friendly faces there! 💚

If you're interested in registering to attend, we've added the link to our linktr.ee (link in bio) or alternatively you can check it out here - https://www.moorabool.vic.gov.au/Events/February-BacchChat-Grown-Not-Flown-Not-all-flowers-are-grown-equal

Beautiful description of grief and loss.

Another word on grief, beautifully summed up by Anne Lamont...
“You will lose someone you can’t live without, and your heart will be badly broken, and the bad news is that you never completely get over the loss of your beloved. But this is also the good news. They live forever in your broken heart that doesn’t seal back up. And you come through. It’s like having a broken leg that never heals perfectly—that still hurts when the weather gets cold, but you learn to dance with the limp.”

As one of the first Tasmanians to access the state's voluntary assisted dying scheme, Phil Laing was able to spend his last day at his own home, drinking champagne with his closest family and friends.

The final wishes of former U.S President Jimmy Carter are playing out and being supported by palliative care. ABC News reports that Mr Carter has "decided to spend his remaining time at home with his family." Something many of us can relate to.

We wish Mr Carter and his family and friends well as they make the most of the time they have left and applaud the early conversations and planning that must have taken place.

PCA's vision is that all Australians can access the type of care choices the former president is accessing. More 👉🏻 http://ow.ly/BYMY50MWzU8

To witness my mother-in-law dying - and the love that surrounds her - is one of the most harrowing, beautiful things in the world.

A beautiful Christmas homage to loved ones no longer with us.

Gosh, has it really been 12 years? I married Sarah & Steve on the beach at First Bay on Christmas Day in 2009. Cheered on by early morning surfers, this was the long awaited highlight of their trip to Australia before returning to the UK. ❤️❤️
Happy Anniversary to you both!

This week is World Celebrants Week!

We are celebrating that Australia was the first country whose government appointed non-clergy celebrants (19th of July, 1973) with the specific intention that they would create ceremonies that might be as culturally enriching and, if required, as formal as church weddings.

An "authorised celebrant" is a person who is registered by the Australian Government to perform legal marriages according to the Marriage Act 1961. Only registered marriage celebrants have the authority to perform marriages in Australia.

In 2020, 80% of all marriages in Australia were performed by a Civil Celebrant.

“Ceremony is essential to humans: It's a circle that we draw around important events to separate the momentous from the ordinary. And ritual is a sort of magical safety harness that guides us from one stage of our lives into the next, making sure we don't stumble or lose ourselves along the way. Ceremony and ritual march us carefully right through the center of our deepest fears about change …”

Worth another share for the creatives out there!
I love this idea to keep special memories alive.
Could be made for any special milestone or transition through the stages of life.

My friend Cindy's dad recently passed away. One of her cousins took all the buttons off Cindy's dad's shirts and made button charm bracelets for Cindy and her mom. All she did was attach each button with jump rings to a bracelet on both sides of the link and embellished it with crystals, pearls and charms. I think this is such a sweet idea and looks "cute as a button." This is simply a "feel-good post" in hopes of inspiring your own creativity. If you'd like to make something similar please visit the link below for jump rings and charms. I'd love to help you create a special memory. https://www.ebay.com/str/yogiwsagenuinefind
