So Saturday day night we took slim Jim with a battery powered motor along to the Vic title at Premier Speedway for the street stocks and modified sedans where both Baker race team and Hay motorsport were both racing in their titles. We did 2 cooks ups to feed the crews this is the lamb, chicken and Veggie cook up.

It's official The Spit Roast Boys have jumped on board with Chris Hay from hay w42 racing.
Jumped in the passenger seat last week and had an absolute ball gives a different perspective to racing for me.
I took the opportunity when measuring up for sticker size to also get a sneaky cheeky sticker made for the rear bar but deff stands out

So Slim Jim has been tested cooks brilliantly but was lacking in a few areas. It's been dropped off to a good mates for a few changes to make it a lot more enjoyable to use. New larger wheels and handles for ease of movabilty, a timber workbench that doubles as somewhere to put your can while checking on what you have roasting. Keep an eye out will be completed early next week .

This was a small test cook done on Slim Jim to check operation. This is 2 kgs of lamb cooked to perfection on low temp just over an hour. A few little changes and it will be ready for hire with the addition of a small work bench on the front, better wheels for ease of wheeling around and some new comfortable push handles and it is ready to go

Our slushie machine went out on the weekend for a child's birthday was a big hit with the kids and the big kids to. Hit us up for your next event it's only going to get warmer. With up to 6 flavours available at this stage and more on the way. A little splash of your favourite adult drink can also be added for those adult parties.

Big bubba
Currently in the build is big bubba a towable reverse flow smoker big enough to fit a whole sheep, pig or even large sides of meats.

Features include a large smoke/cook chamber with removable racks to suit your cooking needs.

A large work bench/prep bench at the smoker opening.

A hot plate on top of the firebox suitable for large pots to boil veggies and so on.

Large area on the trailer to store firewood for.the firebox.

Hanging provisions inside the smoker cook chamber to hang and smoke small goods.

A storage are that equipped with a large pot and utensils needed to cook with.

Various options can be arranged for the hire of of big bubba which may include things like firewood, flavour timber chunks, seasonings and rubs.

Watch this space for the progress of the build of big bubba and the date of when it will be ready for hire.

The silver bullet.
Silver bullet is a twin gas burner bbq spit soon to have an extra side burner added to boil vegetables and so on. This is our flagship gas spit large enough to cook a sheep,mid sized pig or even just a selection of various meats.
It is a brushed aluminium spit mounted on lockable wheels to make it easy to move into most places to cook. Has a large glass window to veiw the meat while it is cooking along with a temp gauge to keep an eye on the cooking temp.

This will be available for hire very soon just waiting on the new upgraded heavy duty motor and spear along with a few other upgrades.

The Spit Roast Boys started as a hobby and the love for slow cooked meat over a bed of charcoal giving it a tender, juicy, flavour filled meal.
It has evolved from a few small spits used to cater for a few small family and social events to what it is today. Now at 4 spits 2 charcoal and 2 gas ( more spits on their way) 2 slushie machines and a trailer mounted meat smoker about to join the fleet in the next few months.

A few items will be added over the coming months to make the spit roast boys your one stop party hire place.
