As April & the school holidays draw to a close, I’m looking back with a heart full of gratitude 💕

I’ve been lucky enough to have most of the month off, to spend time with the UK family as they hit my shores for the first time. So many precious memories that we’ll all treasure forever ☺️

This week, as May kicks in, I’ll be getting back into the dream job of marrying total legends! On Thursday Claudia & Rob will have an initimate wedding with their nearest and dearest in North Avoca.
& on Saturday Jess & Jake will be saying their ‘I Do’s’ at The Lakeside Guest House.

Spring couples, I’ll be getting in touch with you in the next couple of weeks to start planning your big day 🤩

The start of 2024 has been full of so much love💕

I’ve been lucky enough to marry couples at their homes, at the beach, at some of the most stunning wedding venues we have on the coast - & each & every wedding has been truly special & full of all the love & feels.

As we head into the long weekend, I’m going to be hitting pause for the month of April, for some over due, family time.
For the first time since Christmas 2017, my UK family will be reuniting not only in Australia, but at the beautiful place I’m blessed to call home, Avoca Beach.

So the out of office is on for a little while, (as I put on the tour guide hat!) & I’ll be back in May, ready to connect with all my spring couples - to start planning your big day 🤩

Gracelands is a totally hidden gem of a venue on the Central Coast.

I’ve done heaps of weddings there. Stef and his team are total pro's and always amazing. It’s a space that works for all weathers with the coolest yet really romantic vibes.

I’ll be back at Gracelands tomorrow morning (Saturday 27th) for their Open Day.

Elopements!

So many more couples are choosing to elope. We know that means a smaller more intimate wedding. But in terms of where you have it & how many you invite, that’s still up to you.

I’ve done elopements these last few months in back yards, beach side, lake side - we’re truly spoiled on the coast the amount of beautiful spots we have to choose from!

How big or small is up to you.
A given though, is that you day will be beautiful, with all the love and all the feels.

Spring has sprung and the wedding season is in full flow 🌸

Ben & Amy were married at the idyllic look out at Glenworth Valley.

Their first date was in England where they went for a walk to a lookout, looking out over a valley. So it felt right that their wedding should replicate that first date.

You can’t get much more of a wow location than this place.

Ben & Amy you wow’ed just like the location you chose 😍

Winter weddings ❄️

Winter is usually the down time for the wedding industry before the crazy season kicks in next week (yikes, is it really September next week!).

I’ve had such a range of weddings this winter - including (to name but a few!) the small intimate secret wedding (Aimee & Paul), through to the so secret wedding that I even supplied the witnesses (Narelle & Hugh), the little family elopement (Carina & Murat), the big country wedding (Jordy & Ryan), the flying trip back to Melbourne to marry a couple of old friends (Heath & Ness). I could go on!

Every one of the weddings has been filled with so much love & emotion. It doesn’t matter how big or small, that’s a given for your big day 💕

& I really do applaud them for doing the do in winter 👍🏼

4 years!

That’s how long it’s been since I last went home & saw my family & friends.
It’s been too long (thanks covid).

But whoop whoop that I’m soon about to get on a jet plane ✈️ to finally get those long overdue hugs.

To say that I can’t wait, is an understatement - it’s going to be emotional 😭🤗.

For the next month, I’ll be a bit slower to respond to emails & messages - so couples (existing & potential new ones!) please bare with me 💕

I’ll be back end of July & raring to go.

This week I married my 100th couple!

So this is a massive thank you to the 200 gorgeous souls that chose me to be their celebrant - thank you from the bottom of my heart 😊🙏🏽

I’ve genuinely been blessed with the most amazing couples & it’s such a privilege to be part of your big day.

It’s been a crazy celebrant journey with covid & an interstate move but it feels great to be up and running again.

So thank you. And also to those couples I’ve yet to marry. Thank you too - and can’t wait 😀.

The rain 🌧

Not to go on about the weather (!) but the rain is feeling never ending in NSW

Jess & Jourdain are testament to the fact that no matter what the stress & the drama & the weather - your wedding will be amazing!
At the end it’s about the two of you getting married & that will be always be epic.

Jess & Jourdain’s original wedding venue flooded & 2 days before their big day the search was on for a new venue.
In peak wedding season.

They ended up getting married at The Paradise Botanical Gardens & honestly couldn’t have been happier.

Despite all the last minute stress - they really felt it all turned out for the best.

(& the sun shone so the wedding was even held outside 🌞)

Love really will conquer all - the rain, venue cancellations, covid, whatever!

& your day, which is all about the two of you getting married, will be magical 💕

These lovebirds were married at Yarramalong Valley Farm Stay last weekend.

Jye works with indigenous people and they wanted a ceremony to reflect the indigenous culture and beliefs that they’re so passionate about.

The ceremony included traditional wedding dancers & singers - telling stories & blessing the couple.

It was such an honour to be part of this ceremony - & all their guests loved it too.

No photos of that available yet - but just a classic smoke bomb shot to enjoy in the meantime.

Well done Ash & Jye on your totally unique & perfectly ‘you’ wedding.
