MAFFCO PITTMASTER
Next week is a big weekend in the The Middle of Everywhere with a couple of major events in our own backyard.

One of our newest breweries in Gippsland Maffco Brewery and Taphouse are holding their first Pittmaster BBQ Festival and Competition. There will be plenty to see and do over the weekend, which the team has been working hard on.

Another great event in Visit Maffra Central Gippsland for locals and visitors to enjoy.

BANDOLIER IS A BELTER

What a way to finish off the Gippsland Beer trail. Sparkling service from the moment we walked in. Zander had the crew in a trance from start to finish trying 14 beers across the range

With a great sound system pumping out the tunes, this is a must do “anyday”sippers session

Bryson is in the kitchen of Fire’d with a large range of smoked meat treats, with all the trimmings. A great combination with the Bandolier Brewing beers 🍻

The White Ale Wheat Beer is a hit with our soldiers who have completed the whole beer trail in the last 4 days.

FIVE ACES IN NEERIM SOUTH

What a beautiful town Neerim South is, and the Five Aces Brewing Co. team headed by Adam is just as beautiful. Vicki and Trish were so lovely to us.

The sun came out so we could enjoy the courtyard (check out the driver of the truck). We were treated to platters of snacks that hit the afternoon needs to a treat . Adam also said we had to keep room for beer.

The crew highly rated the NEIPA brew which was the brewers choice. After a few beers we had to go, but we could have sat their all afternoon

A great vibe happening with local live music in the bar!! A must do on the Gippsland Beer trail.

BURRA BEER AND PIZZA

As soon as you walk into Burra Brewing Co. you can see Ali and Phil’s passion in action. A big and beautiful brew hall, awesome bar and open kitchen

The crew were spoilt with beer tastings, so many awesome tasting pizzas and a merchandise bag each.

The XPA (garnished with a fresh hop) was undoubtedly the teams favourite beer.

The beers are uncomplicated and beautiful, just like Ali and Phil. We cannot thank you enough for your hospitality and support of the Gippsland Beer trail.

WHAT A HOWLER

Matt put on a great show to start our Sunday (and last day) on the Gippsland Beer trail

Howler Brewing Company has a great vibe on the main street of Lang Lang. His beers are quality , as his large range of hard soda (selzer) flavours

The kitchen menu is another reason to visit and enjoy the true hospitality.

CHILLED OUT IN COWES AT Ocean Reach Brewing

Wayne and Sue hosted us on a busy Saturday night. Their son Simon brews cracking beers in a nearby location.

The burgers 🍔 were a real hit with the boys but Sue’s homemade mac’n’cheese and jalapeno croquettes were on point .

SATURDAY ARVO SESSION AT Yarragon Ale House

Keltie and Damien and the team are doing great things and have created a true brew house

Their mad bar man Joe stepped the crew through a few long yarns and all the beers on tap, and even cracked a few cans of their amazing meads.

Kelties artwork designs on their cans will look awesome when they start canning soon.

The Ale House has a ripping vibe, and they have Andy warming up his vocals for us.

Thanks for a great arvo , and we encourage all to pop in to see the great things happening just off the highway

GRAND RIDGE BREWERY

The oldest of all the breweries in Gippsland, and recently affected by terrible storm that hit Mirboo North.

We had the warmest welcome and service from Latha, and she selected a great range of ciders and beers for the group to try.

We also tried the beautiful arancini and bruschetta to snack on (and of course some fries)

A great range of traditional beers and new flavours with a beautiful looking restaurant to match. A must do on the Gippsland Beer trail

SATURDAY IS A GOOD LAND DAY
We were lucky enough to start the day early at Good Land Brewing Co

Jesse came in early to give us a tour of the brewery and a dry hop demo!!!

Then he put on an amazing sample of every beer in the tap room. The Raspberry S’mores Barrel Aged Stout was a real winner to finish off the morning.

MAFFCO BREWERY
We visited Maffco Brewery and Taphouse yesterday afternoon and the crew indulged in range of craft beers. There are so many options !!!

The loaded fries were absolutely spectacular for an accompaniment to the many beers available (the boys smashed the jalapeños no problems).

Was great to see beer hall getting set up for a big weekend of functions and a wedding (we got to see the rehearsals in action)

We are excited to see the distillery firing.

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE AT Bullant Brewery

Neil has served a storm for the Gippsland Beer Trail. The tasting paddles were amazing. The Irish Red Ale was a group favourite - they all went back for more!!

The food platters were sensational. The Seafood platter and Hot Share platter were devoured by the team!!!

A must do experience for all craft beer and food lovers in Visit East Gippsland

WE ARE DOING THE GIPPSLAND BEER TRAIL

We are on the road this weekend doing the whole Gippsland Beer Trail with our competition winners from the 2023 Gippsland Beer Fest.

What a way to kick it off!!
A brewery tour and full tasting of Sailors Grave Brewing in Orbost. Gab and Chris Moore have been creating some amazing beers over the last few years (some with controversial names - do you know which ones?)

We were also honoured to be taken to see the new site which is well underway and mid year will see them up and running in a purpose built facility and new tap shack !!!

We have 3 busy days ahead of us!! Hope to see you in one of the great Gippsland Breweries this weekend !!

We hope everyone enjoyed Savour Metung today!!

Thanks to everyone who attended Savour Metung - Food & Wine Festival today and all of the wonderful stallholders. It was a fabulous showcase of local produce! Thinking about getting the bus over to Gippsland Beer Fest on the 26th of November?

Tickets will be available until midnight on Tuesday 21st of November for the bus option. As we need to confirm numbers, bus tickets will not be available after that date. Huge thanks to Sale Bus Lines and East Gippsland Variety Tours for helping us organise such a big day.

The bus is available from Sale (via Maffra), Traralgon (via Glengarry/Toongabbie/Cowwarr/Heyfield), Bairnsdale (via Stratford) , Coongulla and Lake Glenmaggie.
