Well that was a busy weekend of driving and BBQ attending the Tamworth BBQ Festival, great venue and organised well. We were pretty happy with all our food except Lamb. It was great being away father and son although Jnr wasn’t a fan of the 28 hours of driving😂. Congratulations to for another GC and team .b.bbq.aus for RGC.

Well another Low ‘n Slow Smoke Off - Gerogery, NSW BBQ Competition has come and gone. This is one of our favourite competitions in a fantastic location reasonably close to home with plenty of room for 30 plus teams and fantastic hosts lead by Lisa and Norm so hopefully will grow stronger again next year. The locals liked our food or was it because Liza Cameron joined me this time as when she does we win stuff!
We have been working hard on taking Pork Shoulder from our worst category to being a favourite and paid off with a perfect score of 300 and finished first.
1st Pork Shoulder ✅
1st Pork Ribs ✅
4th Chicken ✅
4th Brisket ✅
Reserve Grand Champions ✅
Congratulations to our friend Dan Big smoke bbq for another Grand Championship win.

Well another Low 'n Slow Smoke Off - Gerogery, NSW BBQ Competition has come and gone. *** The final results are in and Ribs we came 5th (tied for 4th with same score) out of 250 teams - feeling good finding this out as we sit down for dinner in Nashville***

Chicken we came 43rd which not too bad given we only cooked half chicken 3 times before the comp so ok with that and Brisket was way down the bottom where it deserved as that was our fault for slowing it down during the cook then not getting it finished in time. The cook is over and for 257 teams from across America and some international teams we made the Top 10 Finalists in Ribs - Extremely stoked!
Not quite sure where in top 10 yet but pretty happy!
And the 2 main rubs used were Australian big flavour punch from Smoke Chamber BBQ Pork Pat down and Four monkeys BBQ Homebase and Pork Injection - Go Aussies!
Thanks for best teammates in Nick Gutterson and Liza Cameron and huge shout out to Mike Rock Bock for helping us so much with organising BBQ’s and support.
