Who's hogging the doona?
We already had a full house before that fateful day on May 3rd when Shorty - the first pinkie arrived, closely followed (very next day) by Ned.
Great we thought - they will buddy up well together.
But then came Pigsy and Sammy (on the same day), closely followed by Willow, Bingo and Bluey ...
Then Nella, Julia and Fran all appeared on our doorsteps along with Kevin, Kylie joining Arthur, Nuggette and Peggy.
When it comes to kangaroos, we used to have the little kids, the middle school kids and the Seniors ...
Now we have the NICU (Aka Jill's bed) requiring round the clock feeds, heat, humidity and/or medications; the toddlers (can go 6 hours without feeds overnight, but still need toileting), the kinder kids, the primary school kids, the middle school kids, the seniors and the university students who will be moving out of home just as soon as some bloody grass grows.
To say it's a little crazy is an understatement. But we believe that they are worth it.
If you'd like to learn more about caring/ rescue work for our amazing native wildlife then come along to one of our retreats. Not only will you be helping put food and water on the table for our animals in care, but we run a wildlife rescue workshop to talk you through all the ways you can get involved.
AND you get a weekend of feeling fabulous with memories to last a lifetime. Plus the tasty food, comfy cabins, wellness treatments, physio led classes and all the other great stuff!
We still have a room for this weekend's King's Birthday Retreat if you've got nothing planned or need a break.
