Last Friday we helped Courtney and Kurtis elope in secret on the top of a cliff overlooking some very moody Blue Mountains. It was windy, wet and wild... in the best possible way. It was exactly what an elopement should be... intimate, romantic and adventurous. Courtney and Kurtis embraced the elements and the whole experience, before heading to a cosy cafe with and to get warm and sign the paperwork while enjoying a hot cuppa. ✍🏼 ☕️ 💕

Leonie and Josh only had a very small wedding. There was no seating and therefore no aisle, but that does not mean they had to do away with a spectacular entrance. They really made the most of the landscape at Everglades House & Gardens to create a beautiful transition moment as Leonie made her way through the trees towards Josh. You can just imagine the deep breaths, heart flutters and waves of emotion felt by both of them. Magic! ✨

And when you live in the inner-city, why wouldn’t you take advantage of what’s all around you? Great little cafes, bars and pubs can be transformed into unique wedding venues with a little imagination. Coffee catch ups by day, Champagne toasts by night! Three Williams in Redfern provided the perfect ceremony and celebration space for Nicole and Jesse’s big day.

This is definitely one of the most unique ceremonies we've ever been part of. Rather than just hire a sweet set of wheels to get them to their ceremony, Grace and Hung decided those wheels were actually the perfect place to actually have their ceremony.

On the day Grace, Hung and two of their friends got picked up by driver Dominic from Bride and Groom Wedding Cars in a gorgeous cream vintage VW Kombi. They headed to a quiet spot on the coast where they met celebrant Andrea Calodolce who officiated their ceremony from the passenger door (Grace and Hung in front, their two witnesses in the back) before they had some photos and then drove off into the sunset towards The Grounds at Alexandria where they were meeting friends and family for a night of celebrations.

Getting married overseas can be tricky. There are all sorts of rules and heaps of paperwork. So while you may plan to elope or have your wedding in some amazing far-off destination, it's often easiest to get the legal side of things done here before you leave.

That's exactly what Tori and Josh did. On a Tuesday afternoon in April they grabbed a few friends and headed to Sydney Park (the site of their first ‘Covid-era’ date) where celebrant helped them get hitched. After their nuptials they were off to the pub for a feed (and a celebratory beverage no doubt) and in August they'll be jetting off to South Africa for an epic elopement.

It was a family affair this morning as Megan and Andrew said “I do” in the comfort of their home with just their kids as guests (we arranged two witnesses for them).

Can we please do this all again? The WWB team absolutely loved being part of this special day. Here's how it all went down...
As John and Jeff got ready at their apartment on the morning of their wedding day Kimberley of got to pop in and join the excitement as she delivered two gorgeous matching floral buttonholes for grooms.
John and Jeff then met photographer Jason (that's a lot of Js) at The Rocks for some pre-ceremony portraits before heading (on foot with Jason snapping away) to where an amazing ceremony space with one incredible view was awaiting them filled with their closest family and friends.
Celebrant brought the feels, telling John and Jeff's love story and helping them make it official.
Celebratory champagnes were shared, canapés were devoured and some photos with guests were taken before they all headed into their private dining room for lunch. This is also when the restaurant started it's slow revolution showing off a spectacular and every changing view of Sydney as they dined.
For John and Jeff, celebrating their love without fuss or formality and focusing on good food, fine wine and sharing the whole experience with their most favourite people was what mattered most.

Today's couple have really embraced what WWB is all about - simplicity and style. Their style. This afternoon they're being picked up in a vintage VW Kombi with their two friends (aka witnesses) and driven to a special location where their celebrant will meet them and help them get hitched... in the van! They'll then have some photos with their photographer before being dropped off at The Grounds of Alexandria for a celebratory dinner with their nearest and dearest.

LIES & CODY / WEDNESDAY
Lies and Cody will celebrate with their friends and family both here and in Belgium (where Lies is from) when the time is right, but for now it was a simple, secret elopement right in their own neighbourhood. They are Shire locals, so after getting ready together at home, they made their way down to Kurnell for a sunset elopement on the beach.
Special thanks to Sandra of for making Lies look even more beautiful than she already does, to celebrant for bringing the fun and the feels and to Kristen of for capturing the moment so beautifully. It was so hard to choose which shots to share! Lies sourced her own bouquet from which perfectly matched the gorgeous rosy sunset.
