Many thanks to Oz Kink Fest for asking me to open their first ever Sydney edition of their Fashion Parade. Welcome to Sydney! We had a blast and literally opened the show with a bang!
My model was dressed as a drummer boy. He's also a heavy metal drummer from Bangladesh in real life so it worked on multiple levels.
Whilst the event was part of World Pride Amplified it's by no means an exclusive LGBTQI event. Just bring your best open minded selves and come and check out all of the stalls, get yourself a bargain (I mean the shoes were gobsmackingly well priced), candles, toys, ropes, leathers also there were amazing performances & you can try something new like Sh***ri or wax, it was all very titillating.
Definitely watch all the designers show off our creativity on the catwalk. Hope to see you there next year!
It was great to dip my toe in the festival waters and next year I've got something really special planned.

As I work on the back end (admin stuff n' goo) of the business I'm finding pics of creations from years ago.
I've been sharing them on instagram. I think it's the right time of year to wind down & look back.
One of them was of this legend - Paulette Touma who won pretty much everything she entered. I am proud to say I was her costume sponsor for a while.
Here's one we called Blue Angel. This was custom made for Paulette. It's Periwinkle blue lycra with hand sewn pearls and clear crystals adorning it.

I'm currently working on the back end of the costume business meaning whilst you don't get to see a bunch of new creations, the creative part of me is still busy.
On it's way is a new web site, it will have a swanky new store attached to it, I will be doing selected markets next year too so you can come & see, try things on & have a chat. It's always nice to meet customers face to face.

For the new issue of our serial essay in vibrational poetics, titled {~~} ... , ... ; ... , Fayen d’Evie & Benjamin Hancock have been in development at the Ian Potter Museum of Art, who have commissioned the writing performance for their interdisciplinary forum on Language, this Saturday at Old Quad.
Fayen will be giving a talk about writing histories of the Minoan civilisation 1:30pm

Climate change has amplified the prospect of cataclysmic extinction of our human species. How can the successes and failures of attempts to cipher ancient scripts prepare us for post-human readers? This lecture will blunder amidst the undeciphered "Linear A" script of the ancient Minoans, through parallel texts, speculative syntax, sensorial theories of writing, and alien communication theory, to reimagine writing and publishing for a post-human future.

Originally conceived through a development with Aaron McPeake in the Morgue Gallery of Chelsea School of Art, London, the first iteration {~} ... , ... ; ... was performed at the opening weekend of The National, Sydney, 2019.
This collaborative work serves as a proposition to expand the perceptual space of publication into embodied typography and sensorial texts. Framed as a serial publication, the new issue {~~} ... , ... ; ... offers a translation through vibrational poetics of a phrase carved in Linear A, the undeciphered ancient script of the Minoans.

Recently, Mister Global, a male beauty pageant took place in Thailand. The event was founded in 2014 and since its first edition over 60 countries have sent their representatives to compete for the Mister Global Title. This year, 38 candidates decided to test their strengths in the pageant.
