Upgrades to the Adamstown Park playground are now officially complete, with activities for every age including swings, slides and a paved track for bikes and scooters. 🌟

To celebrate, join us at our family-friendly opening event this Sunday 21 April from 11am. The Bondwood Travelling Cafe & Bar will be on site ready to pour coffees for adults and there'll be roving performers and face painters for the kids ☕🚴🎨

'Tis the season! 🎄 Santa and his elves made a flying visit to help us light up the city's biggest Christmas tree in Wheeler Place. There's plenty happening around Newcastle in the lead up to Christmas:

🎅: Head to Wheeler Place for free Santa Selfies & Puppy Pawtraits. Santa will be visiting between 5-7pm on December 1, 2, 8 & 9.

📷: 161 Hunter St will host a DIY photo opportunity seven days a week from Dec 11 - 24, with fun backdrops and props to help you celebrate A Very Newy Christmas.

🎁: The Newcastle Business Improvement Association created a Festive Shopping Extravaganza, giving Novocastrians a chance to share in $7,500 worth of vouchers to local boutiques, cafes, bars, restaurants, pubs, entertainment venues or hair and beauty businesses.

🎵: One Song Sing | How to Make Gravy in Wheeler Place on December 21, where more than 1,200 people are expected to meet, rehearse and sing Paul Kelly's iconic song in just one hour.

Watch the sand masters at work while they create impressive sand sculptures, sit back under the stars and learn about the Worimi Conservation Lands, and interact with illuminated puppets.

With food trucks, music, cultural workshops and shadow puppets – there is fun to be had for all ages 🥳. All the fun is happening on Saturday 2 September, from 4pm to 9pm.
