I am Paz, a Spaniard living in Geelong for more than 10 years now. When I arrived

into Australia, food to me was something that I enjoyed but never expected to fill my life like this. Homesickness, it got me to explore ingredients and to try and replicate all the food that I was missing from home. In 2017, I decided to give it a go cooking paella in the Farmers Markets and started La Caleta.. Now, in 2020, after welcoming a new member in the family, I had to change my way, even more with the new COVID situation. Fueled by my passion for cooking, I am serious about promoting the Spanish Traditional kitchen. By combining my love for food and wine in my heritage, and offering share with you the traditional recipes from my home country, I feel closer to my family! I am now thrilled to be able to offer you authentic, delicious Spanish meals - for you to enjoy at home with a glass of wine (preferably Spanish!). I will also be looking at offering Barbarot Wines once I can import them into Australia. I look forward to cooking for you,

Me despido de Rioja, el corazón de España. Donde viví la experiencia de conocer la tradición centenaria de vinos, como la de sentir en terreno la cultura de los nuevos viñateros riojanos. Recorrer una bodega con su marcado espíritu clásico, que demuestra la gran calidad de su denominación. Mi mejor experiencia, recorrer el viñedo junto a Barbara Palacios viticultura y enologa de su proyecto Barbalot. Todo esto posible gracias a Amelí riojana de pura cepa que hizo posible recorrer todos los rincones de este encantador lugar.

The clouds formation above the mountains comes from The Valley of the River Ebro below and locals call it Cejo, eyebrow. Such a wonder of nature ❤️ with Esta mañana he tenido la cita anual con probando las añadas más actuales Barbarot 2018 y Puppi 2020.

Today Davidson restaurant, we were given the chance to bring a personal recipe to try… and I thought of this:
Tigres • 🐯 Tigers. These are mussels croquettes encased and fried in their own shell. The name is given because they have a hint, a pinch or a punch of cayenne, depending on the person who cooks them… mine is a hint lol!

Yesterday we were back at the hobs and with a bang! Seafood and fish unit has to be my favourite of them all 😍! (but personal choice is always “au natural”) in Wine sauce (cooking the sauce was my highlight) We also kept building fish stocks for the next clases… and the group was fun!!
