Our primary goal was to ensure fun and engagement, which we seamlessly integrated into every aspect of the program. Today, the women of We Are Phoenix come together to celebrate International Women’s Day in honour of the incredible achievements that are made by women across the globe each and every day.
 
Women in our team are driving positive change and innovation by championing the importance of organising impactful events whilst recognizing diversity, equality inclusivity,  and the social impacts our event solutions have within our industry. Our Phoenix women are proud of the work we are doing to drive change.
 
However, let us acknowledge that discrimination still exists. As women, we must raise awareness of the disparities we face and take action to achieve gender equality.
 
We Are Phoenix is dedicated to creating a culture of diversity and inclusion in which every woman has the opportunity to shine and succeed, regardless of background or identity. Introducing Laura Ferretto, our Project Manager. Laura's creativity knows no bounds, consistently delivering exceptional results and assisting the We Are Phoenix team in achieving its goals. Here's Laura’s story.

"Originally from the countryside of France, I developed a curiosity for discovering and embracing new cultures and adapting to the unpredictable nature of life.
It led me to make the transition from the Alsatian countryside to Paris when pursuing my Master’s degree. I immediately felt a connection to the vibrant (sometimes overly busy) city.
It became my home for a while, and it was there that my career in event management started, with Paris serving as my creative playground.
While it set the foundation for my event career, a detour into marketing broadened my perspective on creating experiences beyond events.

Life, being an adventure, took another turn. After extensive travels, I found myself drawn to the idea of settling in a new land. Melbourne, with its vibrant culture and welcoming atmosphere, beckoned me in 2020. Although I initially planned to stay for a year, it has now been more than four years and counting.

Joining the We Are Phoenix team, is a thrilling experience, working alongside an exceptional team on projects aligned with my passion for creating moments that leave an indelible imprint.
And, of course, I bring my Alsatian roots along – not just for the good taste in wine and love of good food, but also for a certain rigour that adds a structured precision to our endeavours.

Each project is an opportunity to blend creativity, strategy, and a touch of ‘je ne sais quoi’ to deliver an unparalleled experience. As I navigate this exciting journey, I find solace in the fact that every event isn't just a gathering, it's an opportunity to create a lasting memory, an experience for those who attend."
