Our Story

The Burnie Show is an annual two day event held every October. The first show was in 1914 and with the absence of a handful of years makes 2019 our 100th show.

2019 represents a NEW era in the Burnie Show with our move to the new 99 acre Agriplex site on the southern side of Cascade Road in Burnie. The Agriplex site is wholly owned by the Burnie Agricultural & Pastoral Society.

With the new bigger site comes new opportunities that fires the imagination of many people, businesses and groups in our community to build a Show like you have never seen before along this coast and in this region.

So much of this new found enthusiasm and participation saw the 2019 100th Burnie Show attendance nudge the 20,000 mark with our Prime Minister Scott Morrison opening the show. Not bad for a town of 20,000 and possibly indicating this is now firmly on the calendar as a growing regional agricultural show.
