Fun colour and food for Open House🍇

We used orchids from overseas in this one to satisfy both the brief and my craving to play with beautiful orchids again! Love how it turned out, and it filled the giant orchid shaped hole in my heart ♥️But i think we’ll get back to regular Aussie grown flower programming next week xx

Dandy Flora is officially closed for the year! Feels a bit odd finishing up the year in November but i’m off now to do some of my own wedding prep, spend time with visiting friends and family, get married !!! and have a little honeymoon.
I just want to say the BIGGEST THANKS to anyone who has supported Dandy in any way this year, it has been my absolute pleasure to create flowers for you and of course i couldn’t have done it without my incredible florist friends who’ve freelanced on the bigger jobs.

If you’re new here, we love using Australian grown flowers 99% of the time, and really don’t mind this limitation on our work as we try to run a more sustainable business. Makes things more interesting! x

In the past I’ve found it very easy to get caught up in the busy-ness of running a business and forgot to leave space in the week to just play! Another beautiful private event space for intimate gatherings is . The furnishings are already so ornate and beautifully curated that it really doesn’t need much added, but we had fun with vintage vases and lots of colour for this late lunch. And there’s a stunning view of bondi beach while your dining - doesn’t get much better than that! ☀️🌊🌼

If you’re looking for a private event space that doesn’t need much done to it, the private room at Osteria di Russo & Russo is pretty much set to go! Love the vintage furnishings, candle-wax covered fireplace and wall hangings.
These floral foam-free (i.e environmentally conscious) low bowl arrangements were made to match the invitations, in vases that the guests could take home after.

Me over a year ago, from a time when i felt so obsessed with flowers that i used to bring them on holidays with me to make things and take photos 🤭😳 feels like i might have lost some of that obsession over the last year, not sure where or how, maybe just the highs and lows of running a business?! Anyway i’ve been trawling through the archives this afternoon, looking at how many beautiful things I made (that i hated at the time!) and reminding myself how much joy has been brought to people via these flowers!
