Some beautiful floral detail photos by of Courtney and Jordan’s flowers. It’s always such a blur on the day so it’s great to ask your photographer to get some detailed photos so you can take it all in after.
An abundance of daisies, chamomile and cosmos. Don’t be fooled by the effortlessness of these dainty little blooms… each stem needs their leaves delicately picked off as the leaves are the wilty type. 🌼
Guest table floral ideas to make the most of your budget 💡
Sam wanted the focus to be on beautiful flowers but with 20 guest tables we wanted a solution that fit within their budget but didn’t compromise on blooms. So we designed clusters of bud vases with beautiful blooms styled with candles and mix matched vases of crystal, ceramic and glass which was a minimal solution but still showed off the flowers.
Then we put budget into more focal areas like the bridal table and a statement wishing well arrangement. Even though it was simple so many guests commented on how beautiful the flowers were at the end of the night which always makes me love my job.
The flowers really speak for themselves 🌼👩🏼🌾
Pew end posies for dais(ies) perfect for a church ceremony 😍
Lovely garden meadows for the aisle in low ceramic pots… love these designs to make the most out of floral budgets as if time and logistics permit they can be re-used at the reception, these we popped on the wishing well table and bottom of the seating chart to greet guests 😍
Always love a beautiful statement piece on a mantle.
A versatile little number is our petite table centrepiece… she bedazzles a small table space, cocktail table or makes a great side kick to a more statement big sister.
She’s a bright shining little star. 💫
Beautiful hand dyed silk ribbons on bouquets are magical… this bouquet made up of all locally grown ingredients.
Gorgeous vases in sand. Love how these minimal design vases bring focus to the blooms.
Hanging floral installation and structure costs and tips....
Ohhh we love hanging structures. They were certainly create a magical statement.
So what are some considerations if you would like a hanging floral structure at your wedding?
🌸 Be prepared to have a floral budget of $7,000 - $30,000+ minimum depending on the scale and number of installations you would like. A double sided 2m lush foliage only structure starts from $2000+ for one installation.
🌸 We require all day bump in access for any hanging work to ensure our team are safe and they are safely secured for your event.
🌸 Generally marquee weddings are best for hanging structures, HOWEVER above table framework can be brought in if there are no beams or secure anchor points at your venue.
🌸 Professional riggers may need to be brought in to ensure structures are safely hung for us to work on, particularly for larger sized installations.
🌸 If weighing up budget and you have your heart set on a statement hanging structure... long banquet tables are suitable for minimal flower arrangements such as bud vases.

In season… hyacinth. With a strong sweet scent these beauties look lovely en masse in a vase or I love using the individual blooms for finer hair pieces or garlands.

The fanciest frilled tulips 👀 so many fabulous tulips in season!
Tell me it’s Autumn without telling me it’s Autumn… beautiful tones of Autumn hydrangea. Working with nature is wonderful but also has its challenges…🍃
At present florists and growers are navigating the La Nina weather system… that means that with too much rain crops are difficult to grow and plant, and not as available as they might always be.
Dealing with weather issues isn’t new… but with the volatile situation of COVID impacting flower supply and demand it does had extra constraints.
How does it affect you and your wedding? There’s no reason for stress… but rather our tip would be to be more flexible than ever with your florist around colours and flowers… the sunshine will be back and so will the flowers but in the meantime let’s work together to create something beautiful 🌸🌼🌞
Wedding floral tip 💡Re-locating arbour florals...
I often get asked about relocating a ceremony arbour. Whilst I love re-purposing florals there are some considerations:
🌸 the easiest way to move the entire structure logistically and cost effectively is having your ceremony at the same location within metres of your reception and ensuring that access into the the reception space is possible
🌸 we want to ensure guests will be enjoying cocktail hour whilst moving the structure to not be disruptive relocating the structure
🌸 in general if the ceremony is at a different location we don’t often move entire arbour structures but can possibly remove the florals only
🌸 this will sometimes require a second team and vehicle to wait for the ceremony to finish and transfer and tweak the florals at the reception (keep in mind these are additional costs)
🌸 sometimes we get asked about placing these florals on a bridal table - whilst they are your florals and your choice, usually this is something we don’t recommend… florals from an arbour are designed to be front facing… often weather and transport of them in a hurry can impact the quality of design.. so where would you place them?
🌸 usually somewhere where they won’t be a focal point such as a side table, entry way, or behind the band
🌸 here we relocated these ceremony arbour florals to behind the cake table as a table runner which was a distance from the guests and gave them a quick tweak
🌸 what happens if there is no time at all to transfer flowers? It may be possible to bucket them up into water for you to use the next day at your recovery day

Wedding Floral Planning Tip 💡have your ceremony and reception at the same location. This will save significantly in delivery costs and logistics, meaning you can invest more in the flowers. Even better most times we can re-purpose ceremony flowers somewhere in the reception space!
One of the prettiest venues I’ve worked at… 🌿
Beautiful poppies… one of my favourite flowers… let’s hope for an abundance of them in the new seasons.
Australian grown garden roses - you beauty.
Let’s talk wedding flower budgets…
🌿 Wedding flowers are a luxury item grown, farmed and artistically hand crafted… it’s also important to factor additional planning and service costs that are included in the costs of your flowers (unlike simply ordering a bunch of flowers online to be delivered).
🌿 they transform a space into something magical. So if you are weighting up your budget invest in one statement piece and keep everything else simple and utilise candles! (It’s important to be realistic that beautiful quality and unique flowers are an investment)
🌿 the delivery, and on-site set up can be 1-2 full days worth of work for a team of at least 2 designers so ensure this is factored into your budget - usually this will start from $1000.
🌿 pack downs involve returning late to your venue, wrapping flowers, pulling installations down, repacking vases and retuning them to the studio for cleaning. This service starts from $800.
🌿 On average our clients will invest $8000 - $15,000 on our full wedding design service and that includes design, planning, on the day delivery, set up and pack down
🌿 We offer a simplified partial design service and menu for more intimate weddings for Sydney weddings
🌿 If possible work with your florist for seasonal, locally grown blooms and choose vases over floral foam arrangements (as these aren’t the best choice for the environment)
Limited wedding bookings available for 2022 and early 2023 so get in touch!

Coral perfection…. did you know that for an event we can go to the markets multiple times to get flowers at different times to open up perfectly on the day?
In celebration of International Women’s Day, Eadie and I would like to thank you for supporting my small business 🌸 Photo by my dear friend
What’s the benefit of having a ceremony & reception at the same venue? Even better staying there too!
Firstly from a floral perspective it will
🌸 save you money on delivery, staff & logistics
🌸easier for us to relocate ceremony arrangements to your reception space
🌸 less moving around for your guests + costs on transport
Transferring of florals is a beautiful way to ensure they don’t go to waste but it can mean a second team and can put on to logistically bring them from another location to your reception.
One of my favourite seaside venues here 🐋
Chamomile 🌼 Each night Ben and I have a cuppa chamomile to wind down after spending an hour negotiating with our toddler to go to bed. I also love using it in whimsical garden arrangements.

Just loved this colour palette - working closely with our lovely bride Amanda to take classic whites and greens and adding tones of blush and our coffee phale orchids. 💫
