We have some exciting news! 🤩

Sportex, our leading sports exhibit, is undergoing exciting renovations. This includes new exhibits and upgrades to existing interactions.

As a result, parts of Sportex will be temporarily closed throughout 2025. However, visitors can still book an AIS Tour and enjoy one of Canberra’s most popular tourist attractions.

Did you know…❓

👉👉 The AIS has a number of gifted sculptures on site that were originally located at the 2000 Sydney Olympics!

📸 The sculptures were re-constructed at the AIS in 2003 and represent the number of Olympians and Paralympians who trained at the AIS.

Such as this sculpture of a wheelchair basketballer 🏀 Swipe to see the 2003 instalment.

We had the best time at our Olympics LIVE Watch Party, in partnership with the Australian Olympic Team and the Australian Paralympic Team. Can you spot someone you know in the photos?

It was such a fun family day out, with the big screen showing the Games highlights, athlete meet and greets, local food trucks, the French Embassy and over ten sports to try!

The best part is we're doing it all again on Saturday 31 August, from 10.00am-2.00pm for our Paralympics LIVE Watch Party.
