But I did it. I created with intention, leaned into creativity, and rediscovered the art behind floristry.

After years of working fast and practical in the retail world, I gave myself permission to slow down—and create art.

As part of my final Master Florist assessment , I created this Table piece using a combination of some of my favourite flowers. It is designed to feel like a little garden sitting by the seaside. A fence of softly weathered driftwood tries desperately to hold back the flowers as they spill over and through it.

I learned so much creating this piece, about structure, technique, and myself (I probably shouldn't try to create such technical pieces with a limited time frame, lol).

It wasn’t always graceful… But my journey in completing my IMF at the beginning of the year was a lifelong dream that blossomed through passion and persistence.

Some days I struggled to switch from practical, retail-minded speed to slowing down and crafting detailed, design-focused work.

But I did it. I created with intention, leaned into creativity, and rediscovered the art behind good floristry.

This experience reminded me how much more there is to learn—and how rewarding growth can be.
