Today I had the honour of being in service as celebrant for Darren “Dags” Davies’ funeral.

The ceremony was opened with a moving Smoking Ceremony, and it was heartening to see so many family, friends, and members of the Aboriginal community gathered to pay their respects and celebrate his life.

Loving memories were shared through heartfelt words, photos, and roses laid in his honour — a fitting tribute for a proud Aboriginal man.

With gratitude, I warmly acknowledge the Merana Aboriginal Community Association for the Hawkesbury Inc. for their care and support in guiding Darren’s loved ones through Sorry Business.

And to Erin and the team from Windsor Funeral Home for bringing him into tender care so his loved ones could say their final goodbyes.

My sincere and heartfelt thoughts are with the Davies family and all who loved Darren during this difficult time.

May Darren rest and journey safely into the Dreaming, reunited with his Ancestors.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Darren John Davies aka "Dags", who passed away on 14th September 2025, aged 51 years.

Darren was a much loved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness, sense of humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of many.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
Though he may be gone from our sight, he will forever remain in our hearts.

🌞✨ This weekend, we celebrated a truly special milestone — Coen’s Naming Day and first birthday!

On a beautiful sunny winter’s morning on Dharawal Country, Coen was officially welcomed into the world, surrounded by lots of love — with proud parents Nicole and Grant, his siblings, grandparents, extended family, treasured friends, and even fur-siblings Ruby and Pinky there to share in the joy. 🐾💛

I was so honoured to be asked to officiate this lovely ceremony — especially after having the privilege of leading big brother Odin’s Naming Day back in September 2023. It’s always such a privilege to be invited back into a family's journey.

A morning filled with heartfelt moments, sunshine, and love for one very special little boy.

Happy 1st Birthday and Naming Day, Coen! You are deeply loved and celebrated. 🌿🎈💫

🌴✨ Jordan & Scott’s Love Story Continues! ✨🌴

Jordan and Scott have been living their dream life in Bali, where in September, they celebrated their love with a stunning Bali Commitment Ceremony. Surrounded by family, they shared heartfelt personal vows, exchanged rings, and captured breathtaking memories in a magical setting. 🥰💍

This weekend, they brought their love story home to Sydney to celebrate with even more of their nearest and dearest. I had the honour of officiating their Legals Only Wedding Ceremony at the gorgeous Prince Henry Centre in Little Bay—a short and sweet moment just as they wanted, so they could focus on the joy of reconnecting with family and friends who travelled far and wide to be part of their special day. 🌏❤️

Jordan and Scott flew in on Friday, where we finalised their legal paperwork and did a quick walk-through of the ceremony space. By Sunday, they were surrounded by an incredible group of loved ones, radiating love, laughter, and celebration.

Congratulations, Jordan & Scott—you are officially husband and wife! 🥂💕
