💖 And that’s a wrap on my 23/24 wedding season 💖

It’s been one of the best, filled with countless smiles, happy tears, and so much loved-up celebrations with all the feels 🥰

But it’s all about balance for this marriage celebrant. When I started this little biz nine years ago, I vowed it would always be about quality over quantity. I won’t overfill my season - this is to ensure I can give each and every one of my beautiful couples my absolute best, as well as quarantining some time with my young family whilst they still want to hang out with their Mama Bear on the weekend!

A huge shoutout to all my amazing couples who trusted me to be the one to share and celebrate their love stories, as well as kick off their celebrations. And to all the legendary wedding vendors that I worked alongside - I love your work!!

Here’s to the countless smiles, happy tears, and joyous celebrations that made this season one to remember! 🥂💕

But as they say, there is no rest for the wicked! I’m hard at work refreshing my website with the whiz that is , doing all the planning meetings for my stellar Spring couples, soleminising some legals-only ceremonies, and booking in some cracking couples for the 2025/26 season! Alice ➕ Josh

I absolutely adored marrying this 'fit' pair who met when they were PTs at the same gym. We connected over our mutual love of food, with both of them being super handy in the kitchen, where there is a bit of yin and yang going on. You see Josh likes to go ‘free range’ with his creations whilst Alice’s exacting brain is perfect for the outstanding baking skills she possesses when she creates anything from her favourite cookbook – 👩🏼‍🍳💖👨🏼‍🍳

On the Monday after their wedding, Alice emailed me to say:

"Thank you SO much for our beautiful ceremony on Saturday! I personally felt so comforted during my pre wedding nerves knowing that you’d be waiting with Josh and that everything would be ok and taken care of! So many guests commented about how amazing you were and how beautiful the ceremony was."

What a way to kick off my week with that love note in my inbox, hey?! I marry the BEST couples 💞

I’ve just been voted SA’s Best Celebrant in The Advertiser‘s Best Of’ series! Can you believe it?! I’m still pinching myself! 👑

A huge thank you to all of you who nominated, and voted for me - I am so very grateful. I lined up against 39 other amazing celebrants, nominated by the public, and think we are so very lucky to have such a stellar pool of professionals to choose from here in SA 🙏🏻

I love what I do and always feel very fortunate that my fabulous couples put such faith in me for such a significant life moment and celebration. This gong has been a wonderful recognition of the love and attention-to-detail I always strive to give each and every one of my couples, as well as my love for my wedding vendor family 💞

MONEY RAISED FOR THE FLOODS 🙏🏻

Last week I pledged to donate a portion of my fees from my remaining March - June 2022 weddings, along with any bookings I got this week, to the Northern NSW floods appeal. It’s something that’s hit close to home (even though I’m down here in South Australia) as my relatives live in the northern rivers and have had their homes and businesses devastated by these record floods.

I’ve done some more research as to where my donation would be most helpful and have decided to donate $330 via - that’s for my remaining 8 marriages for this financial year and the 3 bookings I’ve had over the past week.

These communities have been through so much already, let alone to now lose everything and face starting again. Thank goodness for the kindness of so many in, around and from a distance 💞

✖️ LOVE LETTER ✖️ Jake and I cannot thank you enough for not only the beautiful delivery of our ceremony but for ensuring the whole process of getting us married was seamless, comfortable and very 'us'. We are both so happy we chose you to be our celebrant, you were absolutely the perfect fit for us. As soon as I saw you before the ceremony I felt so reassured and my nerves were put at ease, you just have the most amazing calming presence.
