This is a super exciting time for you and I’m glad you’ve landed here to see if I am the perfect celebrant for you. My name is Ali (Chieftain to my inner circle!), my pronouns are she/her and I am the party starter behind Married By Ali. I live in Adelaide with my hubby, two kidlets as well as our crazy hound and a fishy friend. I love the simple things in life - cooking, eating, drinking, family

+ friends, and I’m a bit of a Japanophile! People say I am many things (all good, I promise 😜)… like: super-organised, engaging, warm, inclusive and fun. My career path in journalism, public relations and marketing, as well as business operations, also compliment my skills as a master hitcher, which I have been doing since 2015. I am a big believer of giving back to our community so I volunteer my time on a school board and committee, as well as have been a blood donor for 20 years now! When it comes to your wedding, and your marriage ceremony specifically within all of your plans, I believe in crafting something that suits you, your personalities and your story, that will kick off your festivities with all the right feels. I offer my celebrant services across Adelaide and its surrounding regions including McLaren Vale, the Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley and Fleurieu Peninsula, however I am willing and able to travel further afield if the stars align. 💖 And that’s a wrap on my 23/24 wedding season 💖

It’s been one of the best, filled with countless smiles, happy tears, and so much loved-up celebrations with all the feels 🥰

But it’s all about balance for this marriage celebrant. When I started this little biz nine years ago, I vowed it would always be about quality over quantity. I won’t overfill my season - this is to ensure I can give each and every one of my beautiful couples my absolute best, as well as quarantining some time with my young family whilst they still want to hang out with their Mama Bear on the weekend!

A huge shoutout to all my amazing couples who trusted me to be the one to share and celebrate their love stories, as well as kick off their celebrations. And to all the legendary wedding vendors that I worked alongside - I love your work!!

Here’s to the countless smiles, happy tears, and joyous celebrations that made this season one to remember! 🥂💕

But as they say, there is no rest for the wicked! I’m hard at work refreshing my website with the whiz that is , doing all the planning meetings for my stellar Spring couples, soleminising some legals-only ceremonies, and booking in some cracking couples for the 2025/26 season! Exciting times ahead! 🚀🥰

A bit about me and marrying people...

My journey to become a marriage celebrant began when I got married in 2012. We wanted someone similar to us - relaxed, fun, contemporary, well spoken and presented - and who would create a ceremony that was truly ours. As I hunted for the perfect person I started thinking that this could be another hat I could wear someday - I love meeting new people, helping to organise all matter of things and have a passion for writing. The idea simmered away for a couple of years until I was on maternity leave in 2014 and, amongst the chaos of having a newborn, I decided to head 'back to school' and became an accredited celebrant! While being a celebrant is my 'passion project', I think that my other day jobs - being a freelance Public Relations & Event Manager, as well as a mother to two young kids - put me in good stead to be the best person to help write and officiate your special occasion. I am approachable, down-to-earth, highly organised, attentive, and professional. Couple that with more than 17 years of working in and with the media, as well as public speaking experience, and I always strive to deliver a bespoke ceremony that lives up to your vision and expectations. I am based in Adelaide, South Australia, but am more than happy to travel far and wide for your ceremony. Please feel free to contact me to see if I'm available for your ceremony.
