See how I added lemons to the floral arrangement for — very demure, very mindful.
The pop of yellow beautifully connects with branding and the colour palette of the night.

I’m just wondering when that wedding day high ever ends because I’m still riding it! 🤣❤️🔥
is trickling through photos of the day, and my heart is just so full 🖤
We got married in my studio. It was a short, beautiful registry-style ceremony with our celebrant, , two witnesses - my brother and Rays Sister, our children, and our fur baby.
Crazy enough, I didn’t go to the flower market for my wedding—I sent my now-husband, Ray.
The kids and I were blessed with Covid the week of the wedding (🫠💀). Ray had Covid three weeks prior, so he was fine and I sent him on his way, no pressure or anything 🤣. I am ever so thankful for my growers helping him navigate the market on his own. I pre-ordered most, but as usual I always leave budget for the best, quirky goods on the floor. I loved the challenge of using Ray’s unique selection, and I also loved the fact that he had unexpectedly had a huge part of the florals.
I created the flowers the day before. My vision was to extend out the green walls into a miniature winter garden. Again, due to Covid my plans on going to the nursery had to be canned, and I made do with plants I already had. The statement umbrella plant was always going to be a feature though. That plant sat outside my bedroom door growing up in Mudgee, survived drought in Werris Creek, and ended up in my studio. Only seemed fair she was made a star for the ceremony.
came to my rescue and crafted my bouquet. I gave her a bucket of wattle, jonquils, and spear grass. Showed her a little inspo and let her be. How lucky am I to have one of the most talented florist sweep in and make my dream bouquet? I always wanted wattle to feature in my wedding, and the bold colour pop against my dress was everything and more.
At the ceremony, our dog roamed freely, our toddler did some colouring, had a near tantrum (nothing a can of Kirk’s soda water couldn’t fix, apparently 🤣) and sat on my hip as we exchanged rings. Our baby sat comfortably in the hands of his aunty. We vowed, we signed, we kissed, we popped some bubbles, we laughed, and we danced. It was perfectly imperfect and so authentically us 🙌❤️🔥🥰
