SJ Racing appreciate that not everyone can or even wants to spend a fortune on a share in a race horse. So to make it easier we have focused on securing quality, sound yearlings at the right price. One of the biggest misconceptions is that the more you pay for a horse the faster it will be able to run. Try telling that to the owners of Better Loosen Up, Takeover Target, Bonecrusher, Kingston Town,

Vo Rogue, Poetic King, Polanski, Shoot Out, Private Steer, Sincero and Tierce. All of these horses were bought for less than $15,000. We’re fortunate enough to have working with us a well-respected bloodstock consultant with decades of experience and an eye for picking through bloodlines and genetics. How many people can say that they have found a Golden Slipper winner? The management of each racehorse is of utmost importance to SJ Racing and each horse is treated like an individual and will be placed in the best possible races to suit it, ensuring the highest possible return for their owners.

Our tough mare Loburn Lass just missed by a whisker in Race 1 at the Cairns Amateur Carnival on Friday. What an awesome ride by Lacey Morrison and great job by trainer Bones Bailey. Love your work Serena ❤️

We bid farewell to a very well performed friend in FOCUS who unfortunately succumbed to an injury last weekend and has been retired immediately.
FOCUS has been a great horse for a great bunch of owners and retires with a record of 46 starts for 6 wins 9 seconds and 7 thirds for a total of $127,850.00 in prizemoney.

We would like to give special thanks to Alby Molino Racing, Alby, Vicki & Julie and all the wonderful Owners. ❤️💛

Brett has been a leading Trainer in the Northern Rivers for nearly 40 years and has won numerous Premierships and Country Trainer of the Year Awards. Brett continues to be on the winning podium on a regular basis and is closing in on 1000 winners.

Training out of the picturesque Coffs Harbour track, Brett has great access to many tracks in a 4 hour radius including Brisbane and a little further to Sydney.

Good luck to the wonderful group of owners in Loburn Lass who tackles the 1200 last race today at Townsville. She has drawn nicely in barrier 1 and has experienced hoop Jackson Murphy in the saddle.
While there is a Hot Pot in the race, he still has to get past her and we expect a very nice showing GOOD LUCK !!!

Good luck to our wonderful Owners Group that have Tosen Dreamer taking on 1410 in the 3rd race at Grafton Today. Benny Looker keeps the mount after his unlucky ride last start, while she is drawn wide (11) Benny's expertise and clear instructions from gun trainer Sammy McGuren should see her in a decent position in transit.
Look for her over the last 250 as this prolific place getter lets down and we are hoping for a well-deserved victory for this fantastic group of owners.
