When I first moved to the area, I wasn’t quite sure where my weddings would take me. I had my go-to spots in Port Macquarie, but down here? It was a mystery. Enter the Green Cathedral — a dream of a location that quickly became my second home during wedding season. I'm gearing up for a huge spring with plenty of visits to this stunning spot!

Lisa & James | Shared their vows - quite literally, both sharing the same sentiments. They personalised them only to reflect each other's names. They moved into their marriage in unison. A short snippet follows..

"Since the moment I met you, loving you has been effortless. As we move through the tides of time and change, I promise to walk beside you through whatever our life may bring."

There's no one way to express your vows on your wedding day - if you have an idea, roll with it.

The moment - guests joking to James "Oh here she comes....." as a helicopter circled the property.
What followed - their surprised reactions as they all realised, the loud hum of the helicopter descending in to the neighbours yard. They all stood, hoping to get a glimpse of Lisa's grand entry, excited grins shared amongst them.

🌅 2024: A Year of Love, Growth and New Horizons 🌅

As I look back on 2024, I’m filled with gratitude for the incredible couples who trusted me to share in their most special moments. This year, I had the absolute pleasure of officiating 44 weddings, each one unique and true to the couple.

💍 February was a standout month, with 9 amazing couples saying “I do.”
🌿 The Green Cathedral proved to be a favorite, hosting 8 of my ceremonies this year.

Beyond weddings, this year was also about connection and growth. I hosted my own wedding expo, attended 3 others, and continued to learn from the inspiring community of wedding professionals.

2024 also marked the beginning of a new chapter: investing in learning the funeral industry, which feels like the next natural step in my journey. Supporting families through life’s most significant moments is a responsibility I’m ready to embrace.

Thank you to every couple and vendor pals who made this year unforgettable. I’m so excited to see what 2025 brings!

Our Story

Hi - I'm Emily, a Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrant located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales!

I'm a creative and adventurous lady that calls home West Haven. I grew up a country girl in the NSW Snowy Mountains, moving to Port Macquarie in 2008. I've got a great fishing addicted husband in Kris, a cute as pie mischievous toddler named Ivy & a crazy fly chasing Queen of the house Kelpie dog Heidi. I also own a local retail store, and have been balancing “real life” work (so I call it), being a Mum & marrying the happiest people on earth since 2017.

So you might be asking 'sounds like you already got a lot on your plate?' Well so the saying goes - if you want something done, ask a busy person to do it. I remember the moment I decided on doing my celebrants course quite clearly, I was at a coffee shop and overheard a conversation between two women about an upcoming wedding. They were speaking about the difficulty of finding a celebrant that suited them as their first choice was booked out. Well the entrepreneur within me sparked and I thought that's it! This area needs more enthusiastic, savvy, young celebrants that the Brides and Grooms of today can relate to. I've always worked in retail so I am able to adapt to different personalities really well. So much so, my store customers quite often refuse to talk to anyone else other than myself - I'm the one that's most treatable and GETS IT DONE!

All couples are different, there isn't one ceremony template that is going to suit everyone. By getting to know you and your partner, I will take pride in tailoring ceremonies to your needs and requirements - no matter how big or small. I have always been confident and proud of my ability to hold an audience's attention, I am friendly and welcoming, and I LOVE love stories, so I'm interested in hearing about your life as a couple, the reasons why you love each other, and I'll help you bring your love story to life in your ceremony.
