And we are off to the Big Red Bash for the John Williamson Sunset concert on the 8th and 9th of July.

Today we got to the Foxtrap Roadhouse Cooladdi and were met with amazing hospitality as always, a full year between visits and Jo knew who we were. Thanks for the catch up and great to see the improvements, the paint work looks amazing. Supporting the little guys as we head around the country is important to us.

Today's profile is on Ross!!!

Ross comes along on all the big trips, and as Scotty's dad he helps tow the staff accommodation (caravan) .

Today unfortunately we had a flat on the A trailer and all the boys flew into action and I was surprised how quickly it was changed.

Many hands make light work. Shout out to Big E and Lucas for getting the spare out of the container and putting the flat back up there!!!!! Not easy.

I think we left some of the desert at the rest stop!!!!

Today's profile is on Big E!!!!

He is soon to retire, but when Ross put the call out for another staff member Big E looked at all options possible. He flew into Alice Springs on the Monday before Finke and now is on this wild adventure.

⭐ Big E has learnt a few things about the catering industry and how to cook for 200 people in one sitting.

⭐ Big E doesn't want to see another twice cooked potato chip for at least 6 months!!!!!

⭐ Big E is so patient and calm!!!! And this compliments Fi as she really isn't. So Fi is learning a few tips. Particularly when a set of curled pliers went through the side wall of one of the prime mover tyres!!!! Lucky it was in Alice Springs.

⭐ Big E always wears his safety boots just in case the flies will lift him and take him away!!!!! There are so many out here!!!! We really appreciated when the "tooth fairy" (that is another story not for Facebook) gave us fly nets at the Start line of Finke!!!

Time for some crew profiles!!!!!

This time we are going to start with Lucas!!!!!!

He is doing his 3rd year of his cheffing apprenticeship and has learnt a lot along the way. Fun facts about Lucas:

⭐ So far he has managed to sleep some of the way through the states and territories we have passed. The crew has bets on if he will be awake for ANY of the border crossings!!!!?

⭐ Lucas was today's years old when he actually worked out where we were!!!! Yes it took a Google maps search to find out where we actually are!!!! He didn't cotton on to all the conversations of being so close to the geographical centre of Australia!!!!

⭐ Lucas has been a great sport with our trip banter, and is often referred to as the young fella.

⭐ Lucas officially thinks Scott and Fi are completely crazy and thinks a stationary kitchen might not be so bad after all.

We welcome Lucas to the crew even if it is just for one hit wonder.

🎉🎉We have rolled into Blatherskite Park in Alice Springs

Don't fret we are also heading down to the turn around point for Finke Desert Race 2025 as well!!!!

No we don't have 2 semi trailers, not that lucky. But our schedule is:
⭐ Serve at the showgrounds Monday the 2nd of June to Thursday the 5th of June
⭐ Serve at the turn around point from Saturday the 7th of June to Monday the 9th of June

The general rule is if the hatch is open we are serving!!!!!!

I have attached photos of our over the counter menu if you have dietary needs please let us know when you order.

There is never a dull moment. Sometimes you get lemons and you lean on the local townsfolk to help you make lemonade.

Thanks to CRC Electrical & Refrigeration for identifying the fault and being quick to get parts. Back on the road quick smart. Clayton and Ryan you are amazing!!!!!

On the plus side Mount Isa is very pretty at night all lit up.

This time around we have a B-double set up heading out. Thanks to LBK Group Pty Ltd for the loan of the A trailer. Scotty hasn't had all his dreams come true at the moment but being able to test the set up for a run is appreciated.

There definitely isn't much between towns when you get out there, but we have already seen an Emu, cattle and a fair amount of termite mounds.

The road trains and oversized loads are another thing to appreciate, 4 trailers long in some cases and oversized where you need to get off the road completely.

Ann I'm still counting the road trains for you, but I'm pretty sure ill get confused by the end of the trip.

Truck is packed, travels have commenced and the crew are happy.

Thom & Ann's Food Truck will be on-site, serving up all your favourites - salads, burgers, brunch classics, hot chips, coffee, and a few sweet treats to keep you going. 🍔🍟☕🍰

Sad day but also super exciting as we say goodbye to our coffee van we affectionately call Red Rocket. We never know when opportunities present themselves and this arrangement was just too good to pass up.

Red Rocket has been on many adventures over many council areas on the South East and now it's gone to her new home in northern New South Wales for many more adventures down there.

She is back to a bright red stock van, Scotty and Fi were nearly blinded by the bright shiny red paint. We wish Red Rocket and her new owners all the best, with her new wrap and new business.

With a heavy heart, we have sold our small food van we affectionately call Big Bro.

Big Bro has taken us on many adventures all over Queensland for events big and small, over approximately 7 different council areas, now that is covering some ground.

However we are extremely proud that Big Bro's life is not ending just yet, Scott left on Thursday to personally deliver the van to the new owners in Mount Gambier, South Australia and then drove back and arrived safely back in Queensland this morning.

We wish the new owners all the best, and hope for many more adventures in a great van.

The schools are in full swing with the Halloween specials for the kids today.

Great to see our team getting creative to provide some joy for the kids and a special treat day. We hope all the kids in our canteens have a great day and enjoy.
