Excited to announce I have come on board with All Abilities Alliance Bundaberg who is working in partnership with the Bundaberg Neighbourhood Centre to host Options Day on Tuesday, 10th September 2024 at the Recreational Precinct, Main Pavilion from 9am to 1pm with access off Kendalls Road.

This event is local and community driven, it invites the community to discover the rapidly emerging opportunities in the local disability sector. This event offers inclusive hands-on and engaging activities, singing and dancing for the whole community.

The event features information stalls, chill out zone, a quiet sensory hour, food and drink stalls plus much more. This year people with a disability are encouraged to host their own stall to showcase their product, service or what they are currently working on and wanting to share.

Options Day is open to all schools and members of the public.

Local businesses are encouraged to attend to meet with the community, connect with people and learn about the opportunities this thriving region and sector has to offer.

I’m fortunate to have an excellent event family and Lighthouse Country was no different. Thank you to the Kepnock Scout Group, SES, Rotary Club of Bundaberg Inc, food vendors, market holders, security, volunteers and staff that worked together in trying weather to pull this event off. As some of you may be aware I have just had an amazing trip to the USA to help get my mojo back. I have seen some fantastic venues including the Sphere and Allegiant Stadium, the indoor air conditioned rodeo centre at Fort Worth Texas, and numerous convention centres. I am still processing the trip but love the ideas and inspiration that have come from the past few weeks. Now to bring that passion and inspiration to Bundaberg and my events.
