Wow, a fake Celebrant has been charged in Melbourne for deceiving couples and charging for ceremonies when is is not an Authorised Celebrant.
Fyi- I am an authorised Celebrant, I have undertaken extensive training, ongoing training and development and pay fees to maintain my status as an Authorised Celebrant. You can and after seeing this,probably should check the Attorney Generals website to confirm your Celebrant is authorised.

Couple said their $30,000 wedding day was a 'waste of money'.

My partner and I went for a wander around Buderim Forest Park today. What a beautiful location for a small wedding or to have wedding photos. Although you may need help to hold your dress up so it doesn't get dirty!

I had the pleasure of marrying an old work colleague/friends daughter and her partner on the weekend. This was held at Lake Tuggeranong in Canberra. The autumn colours were gorgeous , all shades of reds and ambers along a still calm lake. A fantastic day full of joy🥰

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Australian Celebrants Program. Lionel Murphy Attorney General at the time, established the program on this day in 1973 and Lois Darcy, a teacher and mother of two, was the first Celebrant appointed under the program.
