So I just wanted to share a little snippet of how it’s going vs how it started: edition.

Swipe to see snaps from my very first public workshop back in 2019 for Mother’s Day (lol at my hair). I had 8 attendees, one being my own mum, my friend with her mum and daughter, a colleague as well as 3 guests I has the pleasure of meeting with for the first time.

I remember being super nervous to hold my first public workshop, by this stage I had been hosting private floral workshops for a couple of years but community events is a little more daunting. It’s like being a kid and scared noone will turn up to your party. (I’m 35 and still fear this tbh) 😆

Fast forward 5 years later to Mother’s Day 2024 and I had the absolute privilege to lead dried flower arranging workshops for 60 attendees!!

I don’t look back often but sometimes it’s nice to stop and see how far you’ve come 🫶

🎄🌼 It’s that time of year again.

Delighted to be back for our Christmas workshops on the Central Coast. Working out of Kariong and Tuggerah library, our partnership with Central Coast Library blooms for the second year, being subsidised by the council making floral magic more accessible for the community.

There is something really special about community workshops and bringing people together.

I love it because if I have a new idea I want to try out, the library service allows me creative control to test out new concepts and workshop options.

Last year, a friend sparked the idea for a Christmas centerpiece workshop, and voila! This year, we soft launched our new low-line trough vessel design – perfect for your Christmas lunch tablescape.

We created a small centrepiece which measures approximately 30cm x 10cm and the larger option is approximately 60cm x 12cm.
New to the menu for 2024.

😆 The silly season is well and truly under way.
13 hour day of Christmas workshops today and I am beat!

🎄 We made lots of festive dried floral centrepieces and dried flower Christmas wreaths.

🫶 AND You learn something new everyday! I totally got proven wrong this evening, in the best kind of way.
Context: Seeing I am working with floral ingredients for specific design recipes, I don’t tend to steer too far from my signature style as that is how stock and sundries are calculated and sourced.
Tonight, one of my guests wanted to do something a little different and spread the flowers out to make it the whole way round her wreath. Due to my design recipe calculations and past experience, I honestly didn’t think it would be possible as I was concerned we wouldn’t have enough flowers and it would end up too sparse.

🌟 I always buy extra flowers and today I am glad I did. Because she pulled off her vision and the final product is super sweet. I love it!

🗓️ Can you believe it is already December?!
We had a great day collaborating with to bring a modern inspired wreath making workshop with a festive high tea to the Wollongong community.

🌟 We indulged in some pre-Christmas fun with a floral wreath making workshop paired with a decadent festive high tea. The laneway was transformed with seasonal everlasting florals, twinkling fairy lights, chandeliers and vintage tea sets, and our indoor workshop was styled with a luxe set up ready for beautiful festive creations.

🫶 Thank you to all our guests who made the experience so magical. When you support a collaboration of small businesses, you’re supporting families for the holidays and we are forever grateful.

Lastly, a big thank you to Toni and Bray for welcoming us into their space. It was simply divine.

🤍 It’s been a tough week.
Running a business whilst grieving is no easy task. Days blur together a bit.
I’ve been writing my speech for the funeral and putting together a visual presentation. But how do you fit 95 years in a 5 minute speech or slideshow?

🌼 Poppy loved my business, he used to grow a beautiful garden at home and he was so proud.
He would want me to get on with it. Which I am, slowly. But I just wanted to stop by and be honest and say it’s pretty fkn hard. 🕊️

Any suggestions to help my day to day would be so appreciated if you have them 🙏
