The Healers or Shamans, in Spanish called "Curanderos" or "Brujos" are thought to be able to cross over to and manipulate the spiritual world, either for good or for evil. During the healing ceremony, or "limpia" (literally meaning "cleaning" in Spanish), a variety of different objects are used, including sacred arrows, drums, stones and minerals (like quartz) and incenses. The ceremonies often involve sacred songs and dances.
